How does the EZ4x4 Flip Top attach to the hard top?

Each hinge will come with 3M VHB Automotive Grade Adhesive prepared on the Flip Top. We do include a bolt kit in every order, however it is not recommended unless the vehicle is often used for heavy off-road use.

Is it safe to drive with the panels flipped back?

Yes! The 3M VHB is automotive grade and rated high enough to ensure a secure bond at all highway speeds!

Will this damage my Freedom Panels or Hard Top over time?

Of course not. The provided latch works with the OEM lock on your Freedom Panels; and the included pads ensure there is no contact between the hard top and the panels.

What if I want to take off the panels completely?

At the point of each hinge are 6 screws that give you the ability to completely remove the panel if necessary, without having to completely remove the Flip Top system.

Does this increase my chance for leaks or noise?

Not at all. The EZ4x4 Flip Top is installed with the panels closed and does not alter or adjust any of the OEM locks and seals, ensuring a tight close every time.
