Perfect base plate, ARCA tripod mount and extended grip for the X T5. This is a beautifully made base plate with a very well integrated grip extension for my X T5. I had been having issues with the shutter release on my X T5 (it felt wobbly with imprecise feel that caused many false shutter releases) and having this grip extension allowed me to get better control on the shutter release as well as protecting the bottom of the camera and providing a very useful ARCA tripod mount (standard threaded sockets are provided for other tripod mounts). It is superbly engineered and a pleasure to use. Pros: 1. Fits the X T5 perfectly. 2. Grip extension looks as if it was part of the original camera. 3. Very well made and beautifully finished. 4. Very light weight. 5. Adds very little bulk to the camera (apart from the grip extension which is the point of course). Cons: 1. None that I can think of. Perfect for the job. Summary: This is the best grip extension and base plate for the X T5 I have found and love it. Thoroughly recommended.

The extra grip I never knew I needed. Completely transforms the feel and makes portrait shots feel more natural/comfortable for the wrist. Well made and machined aluminum parts. Adds minimal weight and features large arca rail. Installation was quick and easy. Guide pins align the grip so no need to worry about gaps / misalignment. Highly recommend!

Fantastic accessory for my new Fujifilm X-T5! The grip extends so this camera fits like a Fujifilm H-2 in your hand, with the added bonus that it’s rubbery. All the access doors on the camera are unimpeded. The arca-Swiss compatible bottom plate even includes a centering mark. The red shutter button’s a nice bonus. Big upgrade for a small price!

This is a very important accessory for the Fuji XT5. Adds stability to the camera and is a comfortable grip. My only concern is that there appears to be a small gap between the rubber on the inside of the grip and the camera body. This might lead to separation of the rubber on the grip. To be honest, I think that this is well made and I use it a lot on my Fuji XT5. I like that the grip is easily attached and removed without a separate tool.

Was looking for an extra grip for my X-T5 when using a lens that makes the T5 feel front-heavy. This was my choice and it was silver to match my camera body. And the black texture part was pretty close to the body as well. The fitment on the X-T5 is good. The extra grip is what I was looking for. Keeps the bottom of the camera off the surface when being put down. Still have access to the battery. Light so you won't feel much of a difference. Great increase in camera control. Very well machined.

Awesome product. My absolute favorite addition to my camera, by far. I appreciate its comfort and functionality on a daily basis, every single time I pick my camera up. I cannot overstate how much I like this product. If I lost it or broke it, I would absolutely purchase another one immediately. It gives "just enough" extra grip area to let me hold my X-T5 without worrying about dropping it. Its super comfortable and grippy, and the built in tripod mount is a great bonus. The battery door etc functions perfectly with the grip installed. There are extra screw holes in the base for other accessories such as a BlackRapid type strap, etc. The extra weight is barely noticeable. Highly, highly recommended.

I took the Shape Grip to the Paris Olympics! Still learning the camera, the extra grip was handy when using my big tele-zoom lens. I don't know that it's necessary with a small lens, but that's a matter of personal taste. Only negative for me is that it tends to come loose, so you have to tighten the screw from time to time. It has a little fold-out band on it so you don't need a screwdriver. :-)

I recently removed this cage from my X-T5 and remembered how much I disliked the original grip. With this cage, I can easily handhold while shooting with my XF150600 lens (and I'm a senior citizen!) I like to come up with reasons to remove stars from reviews but, dang it, I couldn't come up with one. Five Stars.

Definitely a worthy accessory for the XT5. Love the silver finish and the fact that it doesn't add a ton of bulk to the camera in terms of height. Grip material is nice and soft and matches the camera fairly well. The arca plate on the bottom of the grip is a great feature. Compared to the smallrig grip I had on my XT3 this is a huge upgrade. The red shutter release button is a great addition too.
