These batteries are expensive. This one seemed more reasonable. At 4 amps it hits the sweet spot of lasting a fairly long time and doesn't cost more than the tool itself. It works great and is OEM. I got freaked out reading about the potential for fires from knock-offs. Is this true? Am I gullible, and are the fire tales just to get me to buy OEM? I am concerned less about faulty batteries, but one that could burn down the house?..yeah, that freaks me out. What I really wish is that we could send back our OEM batteries, and for a reasonable fee, the manufacturer could replace the nonworking parts so we can get a refreshed battery at a lower price. BTW, I bought the battery because I left one of my mine outside and it rained. 2 things I learned. 1. Don't let these get wet. 2. maybe drink a few less beers while mowing so I remember things like putting a $$$ battery away.

My last battery lasted seven years. I should say it’s still going but for not very long at a time. Been using the new one and it works great. Thankful for my mower and my battery.

Buyer beware this is a remanufactured. I went to register the battery on Greenworks.com just like I did with the lawnmower and other items, entered the part model number and it identified it as "Remanufactured". So disappointed. It does work, but for how long, and how long will it last when in use. it will be hard to compare since my other battery is a 5ah battery and this is a 4ah battery. I'm still contemplating on returning it since there is nowhere in this listing stating it is remanufactured. WOW. just so disappointed.

Perfect OEM replacement. I tried a generic with no success. This worked perfectly, in fact better than the batteries that came with the mower. 'Fade Free' power a definite plus. The old OEM batteries would cause the mower to slow as they lost charge until it was almost pushing the thing until the mower switched to the second battery. With these, essentially full power right up until the switch-over.

So far it has worked great. Only used twice so far

I’ve had this now for over a year and a half and it holds a good charge and does a good job in my mower.
