This product fell apart as soon as i used it. It looks nice and the hooks/needles are good and sharp but the metal bit popped off the wooden handle as soon as i started using it, rendering it useless. Im going to see if i can glue it together as it looks like it was never properly adhered together. Otherwise it will probably have to be a return and the search will continue for tambour hooks.

On the metal tip, three of the four are not attached. hoping that gluing will work. haven't used it yet.

What I was looking for at a good price. I haven’t tried yet with bead embroidery, but I can’t wait to experiment.

I'm VERY new to this hobby and only recently found out this type of embroidery was a thing. This is a wonderful set for a beginner: 12 needles with 4 handles. Everything was packaged well the 4 handles look well made. It's pretty bare-bones and no frills. That said, this came with no information or instructions so that will be on you to looking around for information on everything for these. I'm not at all a fan of items that do this, it assumes that the buyer has either full knowledge of how the item(s) are to be used properly or that the buyer has the means to find out. I can, and will, look online for further education on this but I believe that the buyer should be able to use their purchase without an extra need outside of that item on basic things such as loading their needles and what clothes are recommended for that purchase. I'm quite happy with this set! This is a must have for anyone looking to try a different form of embroidery, just know that you'll need to have the means to figure out how best to successfully use these. The price is right and the quality is great.

It took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on with these hooks as there is NO information or instructions included on the package except for an inventory label and a barcode. Basically, it's a set of one handle, plus three interchangeable hooks—.7mm, 1.0mm, and 1.2mm, —and this set is repeated for a total of four sets. Two sets have dark wood handles, and two sets have light wood handles. The interchangeable hooks were easy to insert into the holes in the handle and they are secured by a small knurled knob. When installed, the hooks seem to be pretty tight and don't wiggle around or fall out easily if the knob is tightened properly. I think the price is reasonable for four sets. I like that there's four, honestly... you could have one handle permanently allocated to each of the hook sizes, with an extra one to spare.

Normally, I do not write bad reviews, but this set was disappointing. The handles are wonderfully crafted, and that's the best thing about them. They arrived with all the heads falling off the handles and no easy return option. Probably my worst Amazon purchase of all time.
