lovely sound even on my cheap fiddle !
I've only started playing the fiddle (folk music) for a few years , so new at everything ..... for the newbies out there..... lovely warm sound even on my cheap fiddle, and they don't seem to take a long time to bed in....well worth the money ! I sound much better already.

It's a rebadged Helicore...
Bought this thinking it would be something different to try, not exactly loads of options for us 5-string fiddlers. Turns out it's a Helicore in a NS bag unless I'm much mistaken - D'Addario have form on this because their "fiddle strings" appear similarly to be rebranded Preludes. Very good price for a violin C string but I find I prefer the Thomastik Vision C, even at its higher price point. If I buy this again i would try the heavy weight as this medium weight is just a touch rubber-bandy on my Yamaha EVN (on which it is standard equipment) and on one of my acoustic 5's, I haven't tried it on my other one. Incidentally arrived in an opened bag but appears unused - probably harmless but didn't create the best impression

Sounds heavenly, feels smooth
My violin has never sounded so great. I bought them based on the suggestion of my mentor, and it was a fantastic decision. The feel of the string are great and the sound is heavenly. It arrived 2 days after I had ordered them, and was very well packed.

Nice set of strings. Not too expensive and you don't get that black deposit on your fingers that you get from some strings

Smooth and warm sound
I bought a barely used electric violin a few months ago so restrung it with this set. Nice smooth and warm sound.

Faulty set??
I'm sure when these strings are as intended they would be good but something is wrong my set....The E string has a couple of patches where the coating has come off the string and the G string sounds dead and lifeless. I can't imagine this is how D'addario intend their product to be but that's what I got for £42.
