I bought the STAEDTLER Stick 430 M-5 ballpoint pens in green (box of 10), and they’re a solid choice for everyday writing. The pens write smoothly with a consistent ink flow—no skipping or blotting, which makes them great for note-taking, marking work, or general office use. The medium tip gives a nice balance between clarity and boldness, so writing is easy to read without being too thick. They’re lightweight and simple in design, but comfortable to hold for longer periods. The caps fit securely, and the clip is handy for attaching to notebooks or pockets. Another bonus is that they’re “airplane safe,” meaning they won’t leak due to pressure changes—useful if you travel or carry them around often. I’ve been using these pens since I was at school and they’ve always been a favourite. Now I buy them for my own pupils and they never disappoint. As I've been unable to get Bic Roundsticks in blue, which are my preferred general use pens, Staedler are my next choice. They don't blotch and last well.

They are finer than I anticipated. The ink was not initially as richly black as I had hoped, but it got better after a day' writing They initially wrote with more friction and resistance than I anticipated, but this too got better with time. They do not seem to blob or smear based on early use. This is good because I am left handed.
