Granger's G-Wax Traditional Beeswax Protection - Black, 80g

If you want to waterproof your shoes this is your product.I used different ones in the past grease, paste and sprays, this is great. Really easy to apply, just use a brush or a cloth.Great waterproofing, I stepped in a puddle up to my ankle and not a drop entered the shoe.Really recommended.Only for leather, for nabuk and similar Grangers has other great products.

I bought this to treat my motorcycle leather jacket which was looking very neglected after a year of daily use. I originally treated it with another wax product which has a very strong smell that takes about 2 weeks to fade away, in that time I couldn't use the jacket which is why it was looking neglected. The weather is about to change so I decided to try Grangers G-Wax, one noticeable improvement over the previous wax-proofer I used is the lack of smell ! There is a very slight smell similar to shoe polish but the next day the jacket didn't smell at all.It is quite a thick wax and it really helps if you warm the tin a little to soften it first, it spreads out well if the item is also warm and I was amazed at how well it is absorbed by the leather ! I didn't have a hair dryer handy so used a hot air gun on low setting and kept it at arms length from the leather while I rubbed it in with a cloth in the other hand which worked very well, remember if it's hot enough to burn your skin it will damage the leather ! I used about half the tin in a single application and made sure to get plenty on the fabric parts of the zips as this is where a lot of cold wind and water penetrates, I will do the zips again to get as much into there as possible. I left it overnight and the next day gave it a good rub all over with another dry cloth to remove or spread out any excess and it has made the leather look far better ! A good quality shoe brush would help to get it deep into the seams and avoid build up along the edges and stitching, will have to find one that doesn't shed half it's bristles every time I use it.Now that I have found the right wax I can take much better care of my jacket without worrying about it smelling like an oily rag for a fortnight !It also comes in an easy open tin, look on the lid where it says 'PRESS', don't try to twist or pry it off.

It is what it is. I am using it on all my motorcycle boots. It's doing the job just as expected. I bootblack and polish every weekend apart from in the winter where I usually clean after every ride if the conditions are foul. All my boots are clean, supple and waterproof. Thank you, Grangers.

Cracking product and inexpensive soft and rubs in well, keeping my mid range trezeta boots healthy and watertight! Yes they have event lining but I never rely on membrane - it wears away, finally breaks up and leaks - this wax would keep my feet dry with or without a gtx style membrane. I just use a soft cloth and also my hands to proof my walking boots and shoes

they were very good service first tin buckeled second replcement bent no problem they refunded but what happens in post from them i wonder
