Cheaper material than most, but they work so far
They work quality of metal not the best compared to other lights I’ve installed in the past, but you get what you pay for.

Exactly what we needed - good purchase.
We did a small renovation (expanding our living room) and added a window seat, as shown in the photograph. Above the window seat, we added two of these recessed LEDs and used a dimmer switch (with which they work well). They worked exactly as we expected, and we enjoy the option to have brighter light or much softer light. One of the main reasons I chose these lights was because they offered the option to get a warmer white Kelvin rating (AKA color temperature). That’s what the K stands for in the ratings. The lower the K, the warmer the white light. For the window seat, we wanted to warm light. Your application may be different, so be sure to check the K rating on the led lights you pick. The pack included more lights than we needed, but the price was right regardless. I would definitely buy these again.

Very easy install
I replaced both the old 90s fluorescent box fixture and also the adjacent dining area pendant in my kitchen… so I have purchased and installed 16 of these lights now. The size hole saw to use for 4” lights is 105mm. Test the hole saw you plan on using on cardboard and that way you don’t make the wrong size hole in your ceiling. Right?! The first light in your multiple run of lights goes where the box for old light used to be. Most boxes are smaller in diameter than the 4” light, therefore if you remove the old box by knocking it upwards into attic space, you can use that hole for your first light, enlarging it as necessary, and connecting these wires into the first new box using the push connectors supplied. Each light comes with a box which indicates it can be installed in contact with insulation and vapor barriers rated to 90C which includes standard fiberglass insulation. There are not 1/2” bushings to protect wires in knockouts so you will need to buy these if needed/desired. The box fits through the hole for light so if you make your wires long enough, you can wire and then stuff it into the hole without going into attic space if desired. Of course if you want to secure box to a truss or staple down the Romex wire, you probably need to go into the attic. The box has the variable light settings on a switch on the outside. Dangle the white cable out the hole and connect your light. Repeat for all lights in run. If you don’t know how to wire these, watch a video or get someone to help. I like to leave pushing actual light into the hole until the very end so that I can easily reach up to the box and adjust the variable light setting. Once you test it all out, then put the lights into the hole in ceiling. The spring clamps make this very easy. There is a foam gasket that rests between the ceiling and the aluminum light housing for a good seal. Zero issues with lights that "didn’t work." I think the light brightness and warmth settings are more than adequate and I have all mine set on full bright daylight so that I can hear angels sing every time we flip the switch.I feel like I’ve been waiting 20 years these. They are perfect for my needs.
