MP Heavy Duty Shade Mesh Tarp

Well constructed, reinforced edges all around and grommets every 2 feet.I used this mesh to create some shade for my pergola and am satisfied overall. Many reviews said the mesh is too loosely woven so I posted detailed pictures so u can decide for yourself. It isn't a super tight web but did make it much more comfortable to sit under my pergola during full sun. This is a quick easy way to instal and uninstall as the seasons change.I would recommend this product.

I used this to replace the fabric cover on my awning. Rain goes right through, but so does wind. I've set my garden up inside, so it's partially shaded. This seems to be very well built and durable. When the wind blows, it barely moves, wind can be a major problem where I live, so this has proven to be more useful than a little bit!I just wanted to add an update: 13 Feb 2017. This tarp has been so awesome in the wind, I decided to see how it held up in the winter if I left it up. We've had a couple of good snowstorms, one dumped over 6 inches. I can't vouche for more than that, but 6 inches of snow was no problem for the tarp or my garden structure. In fact, the black material and the fact that the wind blows right through it, the tarp has been self-clearing itself from snow all winter. Winter is not over, but I suspect I'll get at least another season out of this tarp. Also, it does not appear to be sun rotted anywhere. The sun here in Colorado is hard on things and I'm just really impressed with this mesh tarp and when it's time to replace this one, I'll be ordering the exact same thing!25 Feb 2018 Update: My original tarp is going on 3 seasons. It gets both hot, cold, windy and snowy where I live in Colorado. This tarp has performed flawlessly through all those conditions. I just bought and installed another identical tarp and it works perfectly, as well. I originally bought a cheaper shade tarp and I knew it was going to be problematic when I looked at it. The grommets were partially 'off' the fabric, so as expected, they pulled out as soon as I stretched it. This one will not do that! It's much greater quality and the grommets are exactly where they need to be. I built the second awning to work with a 10'x10' tarp. This one fits perfectly and for sure, this is the only shade tarp I will buy! You do get what you pay for with some things, in this case, it's a high quality tarp!

I can't stay full sun so I built an awning over my pool. I used this. Its absolutely amazing!!! You can stand under this and feel the sun's heat and then step into full sun and it feels like I'm being scorched and fried. This is VERY durable. I can look at the sun through it and not hurt my eyes, helps when playing pool volleyball. VERY weather resistant. Everyone who's been in my pool loves this!!!! Got my other 2x4x10 to attach the other end like the long side. Sun goes over the pool all day, but at that angle so I dropped that side down 4 feet. PERFECT!! OH!!! I haven't had to put chemicals in my pool for THREE WEEKS NOW!!!! My pool water is no longer effected by the rain and trash that was coming in.

Cheap, Cheap, Cheap packaging. the carton this came in was not much better than notebook paper. The box was ripped open on one end, but product does not appear to be damaged. Just received this item so the actual durability and sturdiness is not really something I can rate at this time.update 6-20-20: installed this on our deck today. it was late afternoon, but the west sun was still hitting the deck. got it all up and i couldn't notice any difference from before i put it up. maybe 20% shade? this was supposed to provide 70% shade but it's not even close to that. The very light stripe is full sunlight, the darker stripe is the sun thru the mesh shade tarp. If this was supposed to provide 70% shade the darker side should be over twice as dark ad the full sun side. definitely NOT! VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PRODUCT ! ! !

I have had one mesh tarp installed for over a year (screwed with spacers to the top of a pergola). It looks as good as the day it was installed. Realistically, it cuts the shade by about 30%.I added a second tarp, over the existing tarp, to increase shade (as pergola is in direct sunlight most of the day). This cuts the sunlight by about 50%. Much better than single tarp. It adds a noticeable amount of shade, but still allows the sun in your eyes if you are facing it.

I used this mesh as part of a minimalist shade structure at Burning Man. It performed very well. Obviously, mesh won't shade you as thoroughly as a conventional tarp would, but it's very resistant to windstorms and allows for some extra ventilation, too.One tip: unfold this tarp and shake it out at home, as it does have some stray bits of mesh that could turn into litter. The tarp itself is solid and won't unravel or anything, but there may be a few small scraps of fabric that got there during the manufacturing process.

We live n/w of Houston. The summer sun here is relentless. I put this mesh shade on the west side of my RV carport. It’s great, as soon as I put it up I could tell the difference in the shade temperatures . This mesh lets the perfect amount of light in, and wind thru. I cannot ask for a better product! (I can’t advise on the rain.....we haven’t had any yet).. seems well made. Grommets are perfectly spaced and inserted correctly. Now,I need to order another one for the east side of my carport being that I know it’s just what I need.

Love it! I was worried that since it was so lovely and see through it wouldn’t work but it is noticeably cooler with ought the “burn” you feel in the direct sun. I can still enjoy the beautiful view fb the years without it being spoilt by the shade cloth which I love!

Awesome! This product was recommended to me by another baseball coach and it lived up to the recommendation. We played in two days of sunny hot weather and the temperature/heat under the tarp was noticeably different. Another really nice feature about the mesh tarp is it lets the wind/air flow through. Well constructed product - as advertised!

Nice quality tarpe but it is almost see through! It barely blocks any sun, I dont know how it recieved such positive reviews. You may need to by 2 and stack them on each other to get the desired effect.Definitely disappointed!
