So how do you deal with finding out that your husband has been cheating on you (allegedly)? If you're Beyonce, it appears you write a possibly career defining album and tear your cheating husband a new one in the process, hanging him out to dry in full view of the world! Good work Bey! Firstly, before we come to the music, CHEAT ON BEYONCE? REALLY!!! How can anyone be that dumb? Anyway, that being said, what has been born out of that pain, resentment, shock, anger, disappointment and sadness is really a bit of a masterpiece. Every one of those emotions is spelled out beat by beat, sound by sound and word by word, You're left in no doubt about every raw emotion Beyonce has obviously been through, giving you an open insight into the life of this honest, genuine, good and ultimately talented performer. Some of the best albums in history have been fuelled by heartbreak and loss and this is no different apart from perhaps the sense of forgiveness or at least willingness to reconcilliate that the album gravitates eventually towards. Make no mistake though, for most of this album Bey is Pi**ed!! - Big time. Heaven forbid you be the person that wronged her. There are plenty of song by song reviews here, so I'll just say that this is an essential album for any discerning music lover of any genre. You can't help but admire this as a piece of art, doubly reinforced by the accompanying video album that matches cajun down south imagery perfectly with differing cuts of the songs. It all fits together perfectly and I doubt it will be bettered as Beyonce is probably at the top of her game now. Buy it and marvel at one of the great artists and performers left now Bowie and Prince have left us. Beyonce picks up the chameleon torch and delivers a knockout.

I bought this album digitally from Amazon. I've always avoided Beyoncé for various reasons, mainly too popular and terrible album tracks over the years. She had undoubtedly produced some great hits but I could never connect to her as an artist or a person. All of this has changed with Lemonade and I can't even begin to describe how much I'm overwhelmed by my total change in attitude. All Night is just brilliant it is both romantic and painful. Sandcastles is raw and emotional. Sorry is controversial, angry and perhaps bitter. Freedom is an echo of songs that have been written and, perhaps, prematurely had stopped being written. Daddy Issues really shouldn’t work for Beyoncé but it does and it works well. Here Beyoncé has unshackled not only the chains of her gender, heartbreak and her race but also of her music. She is no longer a catchy pop songstress but she is, for me at least, finally an artist Put quite simply this album is a journey, a story, a bookmark in a painful period, a call to arms and a concept album all rolled into one. She pulls this off in what seems effortless fashion. To write in this way about these subjects in remarkable both for its bravery and its inevitable hysteria that it was always going to create on social media. If you want heart and a journey then buy this album but if you are looking for a song for your wedding it’s probably not going to happen here. Ultimately we can all relate to these songs if we have ever been loved, hurt or felt insecure. That’s a special gift and a talent from someone I never expected. I can’t help but feel (as someone not invested in the Beyoncé brand or her relationships) that really what she is saying is that it sort of doesn’t matter what did or didn’t happened to Beyoncé, what she is really saying is that when live gives you lemons make lemonade because, ultimately, it will give everyone lemons.

This has to be one of the best albums queen Bey has delivered. I loved the whole album. The album tells a story, not necessarily hers, but one most women can relate to. In my mind I feel she delivers soft melodies, a rock element, a country element in fact she touches on quite a few genres of music. I absolutely love it. There is no end to this woman's talent and she gracefully puts all the haters in their place by addressing them in Formation "you know you that biatch when you cause all this conversation always be gracious best revenge is your paper"

Amazing album. I've fallen in love with every single song. You may not like all the songs at first but they will grow on you and they will get stuck in your hand. Beyoncé actually wrote all of the songs this time. The songs are really well written, have lyrics that make you think and have catchy tunes. The film on the other hand ,while being interesting and very meaningful at times, was very pretentious but beautifully shot. I give the album 10/10 and the film 8.5/10

Love, love, love this album! Its been on repeat in my car for one month now and I haven't tired of it yet. Cant play it when my child is in the car as there are a couple of tracks where she REALLY lets us know what she thinks! The lyrics are emotive and thought provoking. Beyonce enters into music genres that she's not usually known for but all the same its a genius piece of work.

If someone had told me that I would end up buying a Beyonce recording a year ago I would have told them to go forth. I heard a track of this at a friend's and asked who it was,and was quite surprised,surprised because I liked it! When I got home I decided to order the album. It is really good , On occasion ,if anyone is familiar with Janelle Monae, Beyonce sounds quite like her. If anyone else is thinking the same then all I can say is give it a try,and you might be surprised and like it also.

"Lemonade" is the best Beyoncé album. I was so late to it, regrettably late. And maybe this album lacks vocal acrobatics of Beyoncé's previous albums but the content, both lyrical and musical more than makes up for it. And the film is the perfect combination of music and poetry. It's just an incredible experience.

Eine tolle CD mit einer tollen Künstlerin.... kreativ und abwechslungsreich. Warum ist die CD mit DVD so preiswert? Empfehlenswert!!!

I saw this visual album on HBO when I had the very good fortune of a cable service and a PVR, and it broke my heart and put it back together again. I never got over it. I just wanted to watch it over and over again, like I did while I still had it recorded. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't find the visual album in a digital copy anywhere, because I refuse to buy Apple products. I can listen to the entire album (without the poetry from the brilliant mind of Warsan Shire, or the visuals from Beyonce to accompany it) on Spotify, but so much of the meaning is lost without that poetry. This purchase brought all that was lost right back. Would definitely recommend 100% to anyone else who was just as devastated by the original visual album debut as I was.

Beyonce a le mérite de ne jamais faire le même album et c'est admirable. J'aime beaucoup toutes ces nouvelles sonorités: un zeste de reggae, de country, de gospel, de Rnb, et le tour est joué. C'est un peu comme Une boisson, un cocktail. On agite tout ça et voilà un album qui saura vous procurer des émotions fortes. Merci pour ce divin album!

O álbum é incrível, a sonoridade impecável e o álbum visual é maravilhoso. Beyoncé nunca decepciona em seus trabalhos e esse vem para demonstrar ainda mais a excelência da atriz, cantora, compositora, etc.

This is one of her best albums! The DVD is such an inspiring one, and it teaches a lot. Some songs here are really powerful and hold strong meanings. It's a wonderful album! 😃
