The compartment for loading items to be sliced somewhat limited. Large round heads of lettuce and cabbage need to be quartered to fit. Very sharp out of box. Minimal effort to operate. Slice so thin almost can see thru veggies. Works well.

We made sourkrout with the cutter .It's amazing. I can wait to try it on all kinds of veggies. It sure takes the work out of it. And cleans up great . No more back breaking sourkrout board.

I bought this to get a better shred for my yearly sauerkraut batch, 50 pounds of cabbage. Great concept, but typical Chinese execution. I shortened the feed plate spring by 3/4 inches. Also had to do a little work to the feed plate itself. Not a big deal. Had to cut the cabbage down to quarters. The shred came out super fine. Even taking this units shortcomings into account, this is well worth the price.

This slicer is easy to clean easy to use and cuts like it should .me and my wife both love this cutter great value

I use this to Dry pears and works great. Get the pears somewhat soft and cut about 1/4 inch slices and than cut the cores out with a small plastic pipe and dry them for about 15 hours. They are great and something you cannot buy anywhere. Your Family will love you over these Great Pears.

Easy to use and assemble makes slicing several onions so easy

Generally, it works ok, but... It slice cabbage that it coming up very thin, see through. Max thickness is probably 1mm, may be less. It's cabbage slicer, not salami.

We use this to shred our cabbage when we make sauerkraut. Works wonderful the only thing is it is longer strands than we are use to
