I like that they are generously sized so that I can set a large cup of coffee on it, or even a giant soup mug which was unexpected but a plus. I also like that unlike other coasters I have used that are made of stone or ceramic, these are not going to stick to the bottom of a wet drink, then fall and scratch my table top! I will be ordering a set for my daughter!
