I got this on sale and it has the best features that a man can ask for. Trust me it cooks the meat and chicken and the temperature reading is the best including the magents on the fridge. Buy this for father's day or the same brand has the wireless version take that but this great for as a starter and everything about it a beautiful send

Good option for grilling meat and even fish with option for reading surface temperature and the inner temperature to ensure that the meat or fish is cooked to perfection without charring by controlling the heat/flame and have the desired results for a perfectly grilled and juicy steak or a fillet.

I probably should have read the instructions to get a full, in-depth explanation of all the features. Being a typical guy, I rarely do that unless it's furniture from IKEA lol. That being said, this thing is so easy to use and self-explanatory. The IR feature is more useful than I thought it would be an extremely accurate. Battery life seems to be very decent and it quickly charges. The probe itself is sturdy and accurate. Very consistent compared to Inkbird's other lines of in-probe meat thermometer. I've never had an issue with any of their other products that I use on a regular basis and I expect great things from this. I almost forgot to mention that the magnet feature is more useful than you might think. No more having to stick this thing in a drawer or in a pocket where it's going to get dirty and/or lost. I usually keep mine stuck to the fridge or on the side of my smoker when it's not being used. Very happy with this product and Inkbird's fantastic customer service.

I bought another Inkbird thermometer. This one is multi functional. It has an Infrared temp gauge, instant read probe and also can be set to desired temp with alarm buzzer. I really like this option because you can set temperature for different meats. It has a setting for medium well and well done pork, well done chicken. Rare---well done beef and med, med well or well done lamb, or well done turkey. If you want a different temp it is easy to go to the custom setting and enter the temp you want. As you can see in a couple of my pictures, I set temp at 212°, for boiling water. As soon as the temp was reached the alarm buzzer went off. Shortly after that i stuck prob into a glass of ice water, went right to 33°. The picture that is reading 497° is the Infrared Instant-Read pointing at the burner. This will be a handy feature while using my propane griddle. Seems to read accurate and instantly. Very pleased with this purchase.
