Amazing!! Does exactly what I need it to do. My only complaint, well...2 really. First, I wish it had been available in other colors. Second, a section of a seem seems to be rather strained, and might rip. Considering finding a patch or something in hopes of preventing such from happening. I used a specific mount for the railing on my patio. And the thing just fits perfectly and works perfectly. Love the way this things folds up!! Recommend!!!

This sunshade was exactly what we needed to block out the glare of the setting sun on our deck that our umbrella couldn’t quite tilt enough to block. We did put it in a stand on wheels in case we need to move it to adjust the shad we need. We just fold it down when we don’t need it. Absolutely recommend!

I’ve been using this umbrella for over a year. The full tilt (in my case) is necessary to create privacy from the neighbors (my balcony is just outside of a neighborhood swimming pool and the hot afternoon sun) and it’s the only thing that prevents the umbrella from flopping around in the wind. It is not wind or water resistant, it will flex in the wind, and although it does provide shade there’s little cooling effect. Wish it was made from a different, heavy duty material and had color options.

Good quality, easy to set up and adjust. It has 2 knobs - one for height and the other for rotating. Bought for 2nd floor, West facing balcony. I didn’t use the rail attachment that came with it only bc it looked more complicated than buying an easier one.

I’m very happy with this beautiful and elegant umbrella. It looks sophisticated with its tassels. It got rained on many times and the fabric is holding up very well. I have been using it for about two months and have not discovered fading or any damage. I keep it outside day and night, no matter the weather. It’s very stable and does not turn over from winds. The fabric is thick enough to block the sun well. I like that it can be easily tilted. It’s lightweight and easy for me to install. It is not possible to change the umbrella hight though which is not important for me.

This shade is perfect for my narrow balcony. It gets extremely hot when the afternoon sun hits it (even when it is only 70 degrees outside), and the sun makes the interior of my house too warm. Before I installed my shade, the afternoon sun always blasted through the windows, and I was having to close all of my curtains. An added bonus - this shade blocks a view of an apartment building that is nearby. Now I only see the trees in the neighborhood. I was having trouble with the instructions for the installation of the balcony attachment but found some good photos from another reviewer that helped. I haven't needed the included black tubing to cover the screws. When the shade is closed it is very unobtrusive, and the attached strap with velcro holds the shade tightly closed.

The pole diameter is about 1 1/16 inch to 1 1/8 inches across, which is much smaller than most of the standard bases out there. Spent literally hours trying to find a compatible base / stand. Ordered an adapter kit and returned it because the 1 inch adapter (Amazon Pick) was too small being slightly smaller than diameter just mentioned. And, because this umbrella needs to be moved frequently in practice (due to moving sun patterns and its small size), a base with wheels or one that can be easily lifted along with the pole (tightly secured) is a requirement. This makes finding a suitable base that much more difficult. I've about given up and will probably return this. [UPDATE] After working with mounting this item for a couple weeks, I've downgraded review from two stars to one star for two reasons.... 1) after considerable back and forth with manufacturer (inquiring if they have compatible stands) they wrote: "So sorry we don't have any suitable stands or clips for sale at the moment." It appears they don't sell and cannot recommend any matching stands for their own product. 2) MAJOR DESIGN FLAW... I also researched deck-mount and handrail-mount systems and found this amazing looking item ("Rail-EZ NextGen Umbrella Mounting System"). However, with the 6x4 rectangular umbrella (the flat screen version), the controls for adjusting hight and rotation are on one side of the canvass, while the clip for opening and closing the canvass between uses is on the opposite side of the canvas. Therefore, you need to walk around both sides of the "umbrella" to open it up to a rectangle, and then adjust it. That is not possible on a balcony or common deck set up. If ALL controls were on one side of the canvass, I would have many more mounting options. : | For these reasons, we will be returning the item.

I got this to block the sun around 2 pm in the day when I'm outside. Just buy an umbrella stand and you got it. The pole is a tiny bit smaller than the opening in the unbrella base you might have to put adjuster in, otherwise it will rotate with the wind. No assembling required, just slip into the stand, extend the pole as needed and unfold the unbrella and velcro it to the other side and that's it. Again the only issue I'm having is it flops around if there is a wind because the pole is not a standard umbrella size. reasonably priced and portable a plus too.

Put it up in balcony. Quality good. Keeps out sun. Happy with it. Square shape good for hanging off side of balcony so it doesn’t take up space.

The evening sun made our balcony inbearable in full sun. Tried regular patio umbrella but didn’t reach the right angle to block the light. This is perfect!! Can change the angle to fit the changing light. Easy to set up and seems like will be durable.

Opened it from the box. Spread it opened and the arm broke right through the fabric!!!! Poor fabric quality
