This bed cane has changed my life for the better! I have numerous back fractures and getting in/out of bed was a "no go." I was having to sleep on one of the sofas in the den, which is what one should not do in my condition. We purchased this and now I can get in and out of bed with either minor pain and/or no pain at all. I can readjust my position, if needed, by grabbing the bar. Note- prior to purchasing the bed cane, I was unable to readjust my position once I was helped in to the bed. I no longer need assistance and am regaining my independence with the help of this device. It is exactly as described and I highly recommend it. I have been a nurse for 40 years and rarely do I recommend something so highly.

I wanted something to assist my husband getting off the reclining chair or couch. This is most useful for that. As it has different levels to hold onto, it is most convenient. I find it very stable and secure to grasp and hold onto. We also use it as an assist in getting in and out of the bathtub. Its base is very stable and the top is easy to hold onto. It is light enough that it can be easily moved from room to room. I am most happy with it.

As others have mentioned, this device is lighter than it looks. That’s good if used as a walking assistant. Not so good if you’re leaning all your weight on it to get out of a bed or chair. The assembly was straightforward with the instructions. It even included a small Phillips head screwdriver. The worst part was attaching the crossbars. The end caps don’t actually fit into the crossbars. They just kind of sit on the ends. The crossbars are also almost too big to fit between the vertical bars. So the trick is to try to hold both end caps in place while sliding in the crossbars at a diagonal until you reach the screw holes. It’s not easy and took multiple attempts because the caps kept popping off or became misaligned with the bar. That’s a major design flaw. I think the worst part about this device is that it’s not completely stable. As you can see from the uploaded video, the bottom is not completely flat so it rocks a bit. I don’t think it’s a safety issue yet but we’ll see once we have more experience with it.

Bought for my parents as they need help getting out of their seat all the time . It doesn’t seem stable enough and it doesn’t help at all. I can’t return it as I threw everything away and they aren’t cheap.

Works well. Husband uses it to get in and out of bed. Very useful after his back surgery.
