JBL has Knocked this out of the Park !!!
I know I've come late to this party and chances are this will never get read, but let me throw in my two cents anyway. I've been buying gaming headsets now for years. I'm not an expert but any means but this truly is an amazing headset. JBL knocked it out of the park with these. But beware... The learning curve here is excessive...I'm talking about the bells and whistles this came with. When I first got them I hooked them up to my PS5 with the pull apart dongle. (More on the dongle in a few minutes.) Everything went smooth with the set up. I'm not a chat player so my mic arm was thrown up to keep it off. Sorry I cant give my opinion on that. There are two wheels on the left earcups, One for for overall volume and one for chat mix. That didn't take long at all to set up. Before playing, I found the Noise Cancelation button actually by chance at the top of the left cup. It gives you a pleasant On/Off notification. But overall I was not impressed with the NC. I live in NYC where I need that feature for obvious reasons. Maybe I'm a bit spoiled with this since some of my other NC headphones is where I hear nothing at all, But when the playing pauses I can still here the traffic outside. However, while playing I was pretty impressed with the overall quality of the sound. Let me move on here with the feel and comfort. The earcups have a soft leatherette with memory foam. I was a bit worried at first they would make my ears sweat in long gaming sessions. But surprisingly they were so comfortable I hadn't even noticed they were even on with no sweaty ears. As mentioned before, the "Dongle".... When I originally opened the box, I saw a long USB dongle. I said wait, this is supposed to have two. A long and short. I didn't know I had to seperate it in two. I thought the shorter one was missing. I contacted JBL and they told me they would send another. When I figured out I had to seperate it I got back to them to say, I fixed the problem and no need to send an extra. They told me, no worries, we are sending it to you anyway. Pretty Cool, right? But.... aghhhh, When I tried to set up the headphones on my Desktop? That is really where the headaches began. This has always been a relatively easy process with my other headphones and headsets. After getting frustrated with this, it was JBL to the rescue again. But this time I called them to walk me through this. JBL's Customer Service came through again! They were patient, kind and polite and hooked me up pretty fast. Not before long I was on their engine site tweaking my music. My music streaming apps sounded fantastic. However, I got these more for gaming than for music but overall impressed with both. One last item on my already long review, The RGB. I've never been a big fan of RGB so I don't use it but maybe you do. You can shut it off to save on battery life. But if you like it, you can go to the JBL engine and tweak it to your favorite colors. Even though not a fan it did look pretty cool. My final thoughts here. I don't see how anyone can be disappointed with this quality piece of work. Between the Look, the Feel, the Sound and Great Customer Service, JBL has knocked it out of the park !!!

You should know…
These are really about a 4.5 stars for me. If you buy these: 1. Follow the Instructions and setup/tune using the dongle in a laptop/computer before you do anything else! 2. Try to get them on sale. They are often much cheaper than the full price. 3. These are amazing for gaming, very loud and you can tell where the sounds are coming from. 4. I have know idea how anyone is getting 40+hours of charge. Maybe I have the volume too high but they will last long enough for a gaming session. 5. For some reason the volume does not go as loud while watching tv or listening to music compared to gaming. However, they are still loud enough for me. 6. Very comfortable! There are no optional ear cups provided, but these never bother me. 7. Great Mic! My only concern is the mic is not detachable… 8. To me they are one of the best looking headsets out there, and there is an option to turn on/off and adjust the lighting. 9. Some people have commented the sound is too dim; make sure you check the device you are connected to. tv’s and cell phones have audio settings that affect headsets too. Also, plug the dongle back into your computer to use the equalizer to find your preference of listening. 10. Have a great day!

Best headset purchase I made in my life.
Best headset I ever used for gaming on PC. Great noise cancelling, great audio quality, fits my smaller head. Don't weight all to much. Connectivity is flawless, no cord is the biggest game changer for me. The Bluetooth features is incredible and has gone a long way. Needs the dongle to change the settings for the headset from the app on the computer. The design quality seems high quality and don't feel cheap.

Worth the money
The quality is very good. Haven't messed with the noise cancelation much but seems to work well. Battery lasts quite while. They are a bit heavy but that doesn't bug me. I use them mainly for gaming and the sound is very clear. They are a bit pricey but for what you get I think they are worth it.

I’m actually disappointed surprisingly
So to start off I love Jbl speakers and I only play on a PS4 console Not PC or Xbox So let’s dive into it The sound was so dim on full blast it was disappointing. I hooked up my old headphones (PlayStation gold headphones) to compare and man they were louder by far. Not a good loud though Like a crappy loud That’s why I decided to upgrade and get these headphones since they were on sale for 150$ I paid 60$ for the old ones so I figured these would be far superior. Yeah the bass sounded clean but not the kind of thump i wanted. Just wish I could have turned it up more. Since I don’t own or play a PC I don’t get to even use the software features these headphones offer like customization of the EQ The other features were decent But not impressive spatial360 sounded too reverby Noise canceling was weak Im use to my AirPods noise canceling And these didn’t compete Flashing lights are cool but just unnecessary The head tracker is kinda pointless You lose volume to which ever ear is faced away from the dongle Turn head left , right ear gets quieter Turn heat right , left ear get quieter Turned on my Spotify to bump some slappers also and none were thumping like I wanted I even turned up the volume up on the Spotify app on my ps4 full blast and still just disappointed One thing I will say. Sound is clean and crisp They look nice Feel nice but when it came down to it. Just not want I’m looking for. Just wish it went louder or had an app to adjust it like some of the other Jbl products. So sadly I am returning my headphones to keep chasing my expectation of a really nice headphone Chasing that thump

Bought these for my boyfriend As a gift. He uses them on PS5 and loves them.

I thought these would be great after my JBL 610s kicked the bucket, but no. $300 for muffled garbage is not what I was expecting. The build quality is great but I can justify spending $300 for $30 sound quality.

I love the sound but for some reason the rgb no longer lights up :( can someone reach out to me? I’ve only had this for 2 or so months (maybe even just 1 month)
