What is the screen size and can we change image size

No you cannot change the screen size. I am not sure how you measure the screen size but I would say it is the equivalent of watching A 55 inch television from about 10 feet away. The screen image is created by two eyepieces which have miniature projectors in them. I bought the unit to use for drone flying because the projectors can provide a bright image when you are in daylight and also you can look above and below the image bar To check line of sight to the drone and to look at the controller

Does it work for a 14 year old boy?

Certainly, it is fully adjustable.

No idea, have to say, I found the headset a disappointment.nicely packaged and presented, great audio and easy to set up. But the virtual big screen just wasn't 'big' enough for me. Samsung VR cinema works a lot better. I sent it back for a refund.
