Yes, it will work. I even verified my Encore has the "485." For anyone who doesn't however, this should still work. Baratza has been really good at keeping updated parts for new Encores backwards compatible. A bit unrelated but for anyone unaware, literally every single part that makes up the Encore is available on their site with troubleshooting and repair instructions.

What are the dimensions?

2 3/8" (60mm) High 4 7/8" (124mm) Top Outside Diam. 5 3/8" (137mm) Bottom Outside Diam. 4 7/8" (124mm) Bottom Inside Diam. This perfectly fits over my Capresso Infinity grinder bin. Works perfectly to blow out all retained grinds.

Does this fit the Baratza Vario?

It is not specified for the Vario. Looks like the Vario has a different shaped hooper! Check with the mfg'r
