Utopia Kitchen 304 Grade Stainless Steel French Press 12 Oz, Silver

I've had this french press from Utopia Kitchen for almost a year now and have used it every day. It has held up remarkably well. It's a sturdy, all metal press and comes with some extra screens. It holds just about 1L, and works like any other french press - load it up with ground coffee and hot water, and you're good to go. The press screen does a good job of filtering out the grinds, but like most presses, you'll get a little bit here and there sometimes. The handle is big and chunky and just about perfect. It looks good, and the black coating has been really durable. I do hand wash it 99% of the time, but it has been in the dishwasher (don't recommend) once or twice without damage. Also, it's insulated, so it keeps my coffee nice and hot for nearly an hour, and stays cool to the touch. It's one of my favorite ways to make coffee because it's so easy and straightforward to use. I've also used it for loose leaf tea and it works a treat for that, too! Can't beat it for the price.

This is an excellent coffee maker. I love the stainless steel look, the material, and the ease of use. It is sort of a thermos so your coffee remains hot (you have to remove the grains so that it does not taste too strong after a while). Also, coffee pours easily. It comes with three filters, which I love. I totally recommend it after using it for a few weeks now: easy to clean, durable, sleek looking, and functional. The best package!

This cute little french press is adorable, but as soon as I saw it, I thought it was too small. My idea of 12oz was off. However, my family convinced me that if I’m wanting to control my morning intake to 12oz - which is enough for me, then I should try it. I love this thing! It’s heavy duty stainless and makes the perfect sized coffee for one person. Definitely go bigger for more coffee drinkers. It’s a wonderful way to decrease plastics in our systems like the other machines that push boiling water through them. And no residual bacteria either. This is a breeze to clean. No leakage and stays hot. I feel a little fancy every time I sit down with my little coffee pot.

I am very particular. This one is very sturdy, and has solid construction. The stainless steel looks great, and cleans easy. It keeps coffee hot for your second and third cup, far longer than your typical glass french press. If you’re looking for quality at an economic price, this is it.

Love this easy to clean take appart filter forgot water in it for a few days no rust usually some in the past that i have got from walmart always dot rust spots, holds heat and cold very well sometimes tiny tiny parts of ground coffee gets through but doesnt bother me any

A decent sized coffee press. Large enough for enternaining, or most of a day's supply of coffee. It is stainless so it will not shatter if dropped or knocked onto the floor. It is a double wall construction, though not a "vacuum" type of vessel as the outside of it does get warm once there is hot water poured in. Use care and common sense when assembling the press: face the spout away from you as you prepare your coffee and make sure the bevel of the top is also pointed away from you. Once hot water is in the press it, it is possible to "launch" some water or coffee out of the spout as you reassemble it, and the design of the cover tends to deflect the stream outward. With all that said, it is well made press, and a decent value for the money. It does not alter flavor of coffee or tea in ways some plastics might. Cleaning is easy, though you will want to have a plier to hold the shaft when it is time to clean the pressing screen assembly, at least for the first time as they get threaded quite snug and the press knob tends to be what unscrews instead. The pot is about 750mL even though the box says it is 1 liter. If you are like me and tend to nurse a pot of coffee all day, I have heated a full liter of water in the heating pot, filled the press and poured a tall cup of coffee, and then carefully raised the press assembly just enough to lean against the side of the pot and poured in the remaining heated water into the press and continue to let it steep on the grounds. I usually use Espresso ground coffee at one rounded tablespoon per cup, so about 3 table spoons of coffee (4 if I heat up a liter of water.), though reglar grounds will work too. If you want the best coffee you can get, make sure to completely wash the press after each use to remove old grounds, tannins and any Fusile oils that remain, especially in the mesh and mesh supports.

Bought this metal pot as I'd just had an IKEA glass one break on me. So mostly I'm comparing it to that one but I'll also address some of the other reviews. 1. It keeps coffee hot, not sure how long people expect it, its not a flask. But when I make a pot to myself, it is nicely hot for a couple of hours. Certainly no need to rush. 2. It cleans nicely, it also leaves no dregs, so its very easy to simply tip the grounds out into the bin, it isn't a muddy gloop like others I have used that doesn't drain the whole water. Goes in the dishwasher but mostly I just give it a rinse. 3. Very sturdy and looks nice, can't see it breaking any time soon. Can't really think of anything else to say about it really, it's a metal coffee pot that works as well as I'd hoped.

per il prezzo che ha fa perfettamente il suo lavoro, poi ho scoperto che non tutte le french press hanno il filtro doppio, questa ce l'ha e ha anche un filtro in più di riserva. la doppia parete mantiene il caldo per qualche ora e permette di non bruciarsi. Rispetto al vetro non si può vedere il grado di intensità della bevanda, che sia thè o caffè, ma per chi, come me, che si fa un litro di thè so quanto mettercene dentro affinchè risulti dell'intensità desiderata e così è lo stesso per il caffè. Però questo rispetto al vetro è molto più resistente, sia per lo shock termico dell'acqua sia per gli urti.

I love coffee and this beats Bodum hands down! It is so beautiful and elegant and it keeps the coffee warmer for much longer than the other brand. Plus it’s durable. I broke the glass insert in the Bodum and to replace it would have cost more than this press in total. You get an extra strainer for the future too! A caution for first use is that the plunger is snug and you have to gauge the slow pressure to prevent a possible sploosh! However, the tightness ensures not even one tiny ground gets in your coffee. For coffee loving friends this would make the best gift. Why I gave it only 4 stars for use was that you have to tell by weight how much coffee you have left in the pot as you can’t see through the stainless steel! Buy it from this seller; it is cheaper than others for the same pot.
