Bought to remove paint from figured glass in borrowed light panels above doors. Previous painters weren't too careful and there was a lot of overpaint - very difficult to get off of the patterned side of the glass. Fibre glass eraser helped enormously.

Bought this fiberglass scratch pen to clean some electronic terminals in a vintage multimeter, works great, little effort is used to remove tarnish from hard to reach places, hand and eye protection and a face mask are a must as some tiny fiberglass particals can be expelled from the end. All in all great little tool for tarnish removal of battery terminals and corroded solder joint cleaning for resolder.

Great for removing our pen/pencil mistakes when crafting, if we can't get the mark off with normal rubbers/erasers. Much better than scratching with a knife, I've used one for years, but lost it and managed to find this one. As I believe the 'knib' is fibre-glass, so, for safety, I would not let a young child use it, unless being supervised.

This is a great little tool, really useful as an aid to correct mistake as well as a great drawing tool to work back into your etching design

Have used this product for 50 years........ Still as good as ever. Initially designed for erasing drafting ink from poly-type drafting film. Now great for cleaning up a variety of things...

The external feels nice and sturdy, but on closer inspection of the internals, you can see a number of 'value engineering' design choice. 1) The actual holder of the glass fibres replace tip is made from 0.05mm thick plastic, this will break if you are not gentle when replacing the tip. If this breaks, there's no replacement part. 2) The holder is fraction fit, this requires you to push the the tip into place with a decent amount of force, enough force to get stabbed by stray glass fibres! Always wear gloves when replacing the tip to avoid injury. I bought this for £4.6 (close to 1/2 price) from Amazon Warehouse, so I am not fussed about these disadvantages.

Der Stift selbst besteht aus Kunststoff, die Glasfasermine lässt sich mit einem Drehrad am Ende des Stiftes raus und rein drehen. Ist die Mine verbraucht, lässt sich die Spitze abschrauben und eine neue Mine einsetzen. Die Verarbeitung und das verwendete Material wirken hochwertig und belastbar. Ich habe den Stift gekauft um kleinere Roststellen im Radlauf unseres Wagens zu entfernen und das macht der Radierer auch wirklich sehr gut solange der Rost nicht zu stark ist. Ansonsten empfiehlt es sich zunächst mit Schleifpapier vor zu arbeiten und die Feinarbeit dem Stift zu überlassen. Das ist bei weitem jedoch nicht das einzige wozu der Stift sich eignet: leichte Korrosion an elektrischen Kontakten, z.b. an der PKW-Beleuchtungsanlange und an Steckverbindungen, lassen sich ebenfalls leicht und vor allem schonend entfernen. Ich habe den Radierer auch benutzt um Klebereste von einem echtholz Schreibtisch zu entfernen. Auch das ging problemlos, wobei man natürlich sehr vorsichtig vorgehen muss um die Oberfläche nicht zu beschädigen. Nach dem Lesen der Rezensionen hier habe ich auch versucht Kugelschreiberstriche aus einem Buch zu entfernen, das Ergebnis ist aber mäßig: der Strich lässt sich entfernen, jedoch wird selbst bei vorsichtigster Anwendung das Papier durch den Stift beschädigt. Fazit: der Stift ist vielseitig anwendbar, qualitativ hochwertig verarbeitet und seinen Preis definitiv wert. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Le premier appareil de ce genre étant usé après de nombreuses années de service, j'ai acheté celui-là. Quand on le tient bien vertical il permet d'effacer l'encre sur le papier calque (quelqu'un utilise encore ça ?) ou de gratter les contacts oxydés.

j'en avais déjà un mais perdu c'est pour cette raison que j'en ai commandé un autre.
