Great product
This docking station is great. Works perfectly without a fail. I have 2 high refresh rate monitors plugged in and bunch of other devices on the side. Been using for over a year almost every day. Highly recommend this product.

Excellent support on Linux.
I've gone through 3-4 different usb-c docks in an attempt to find something that consistently works with my hardware setup and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. This dock seems to be the best value for what it is. It's well-supported on Fedora 42, all the components work, everything I plug into the usb ports behaves normally. I also like that it comes with its own power brick. The way I see it, if you're using a docking station with your laptop, it defeats the purpose if you have to crawl under your desk and unplug the power supply every time you undock it. In all, an excellent hub that solved multiple problems for me. Highly recommended.

Make sure you plug into the correct USB-C port
T480 Linux user here. The dock kept disconnecting randomly. I tried everything to fix it. It turns out I was connecting it to the wrong USB-C port. I was connecting it to the power port. It's supposed to be connected to the USB-C port inside the thunderbolt port below that. After that it works great. No complaints.

Not New — Out of Warranty and Defective on Arrival
As others have noted, I do not believe this was a new product. It arrived in a non-descript box and was missing the USB-C cable that is referenced in the user documentation. I would have been willing to overlook the missing cable, but the dock itself did not function correctly. While it did charge my laptop, it never connected to external displays. Multiple attempts to update the dock firmware failed. Lenovo technical support confirmed that the dock’s serial number indicates it was originally purchased in 2020 and is outside Lenovo’s warranty window. I purchased this item in 2026. Lenovo support was therefore unable to assist. Based on packaging, missing components, and Lenovo’s own records, this does not appear to be a new product.

Does exactly what it's supposed to
Not much else to say since the product itself is pretty self explanatory in its specs. If you just need a pretty simple docking station that allows display out and charges your laptop at the same time, then this seems to be the best bang for buck out of the docking stations I researched. It also has a pretty healthy amount of ports considering its size. I don't travel for work, but if I did, this charging station would also be perfect for travel since it is so compact. The only thing to consider is that power brick as well, which is more or less the same size as the docking station. I haven't had any connectivity or power issues, seems like a very reliable unit. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who just needs a basic laptop docking station.

Good Docking Station for a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon, Gen 7
I have become spoiled using 2 external monitors with another laptop I used for several years. Current laptops' commuting abilities make them usable for me for all my needs whether in the office, traveling, or in class. However, the small single laptop screen is not as easy to view with my eyes as it was 10 years ago. I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon, Gen 7 based on previous good performance of an earlier Thinkpad. This docking station works well, but like most new laptops it connects via the super/lightening/all in one USB C connection. I would prefer the older style connector, but this most be the way PC makers want to go. The setup was fairly quick and worked almost like plug and play with my two existing monitors. I had to invest a few minutes to set up the monitor displays as I wanted, but this probably the case with any docking station. I looked at the cheaper knockoff docking stations, but was not impressed with their reviews. Some also do not charge the laptop which makes them almost worthless. This Lenovo branded dock was certainly not cheap and I probably paid a premium for the name. So far it is working as advertised to charge my laptop and seamlessly switch to the external monitors when I plug it into my laptop.

Solid Dock with a few minor annoyances
This USBC dock has been pretty good for my employees. We get Lenovo laptops (mostly T470/480/490 and T14/15 and P1). It works really well for these laptops. It charges, has a good assortment of ports, has a small footprint, and we dont have a lot of issues with them (usually a power cycle fixes most problems) Lenovo charges way too much for these docks. Even before COVID issues, these were often pushing $200 unless you found them on sale which is far too much for what you get. Now Lenovo and Amazon scalp everyone because they know they can. I typically buy these from Amazon since they are normally less expensive, but make sure you aren't buying from some scammy reseller or buying renewed. These docks used to cost about 150-180 not that long ago. It's really frustrating that they only include 1 HDMI port on this dock and 2 Display Port. A lot of Lenovo displays dont have Display Port, only HDMI. Basically all of the Lenovo displays that have DP don't ship with a Display Port cable, so this dock means that you HAVE to buy specific monitors, and then also have to buy additional cables. Literally a second HDMI port would correct most of this problem, but that only exists on the $300+ version of the dock. Shameful. This dock only works with your laptop using the rear USBC plug. There is one in the front but for whatever reason Lenovo only has the rear one set up for the "docking" which makes no sense. (dont get me started on Lenovo laptops only docking with certain USBC ports on the laptop itself) Lately I have received a lot of faulty docks where people have to fight with it a little bit for the displays to work, the charging to work, etc. Quality control is down (even for Chinese junk electronics standards). All this being said, when you get it at a fair price, these docks work pretty well. I have replaced maybe 2 out of about 50 in my company due to faulty equipment. Lenovo was pretty quick to replace it. We use these with Dell and HP computers without much trouble, and even MacBooks which are notoriously terrible about compatibility (though they do still give us trouble from time to time)
