I own two vacuums … one full vacuum with all the bells and whistles and a stick-vac with a roller brush. I also own an upright carpet cleaner and a smaller hand-held one. My husband has his favorite mop and I have mine. Can you tell we like to keep our floors clean? We have 4 cats, two very long haired, and a dog with an always-shedding undercoat. I am so tired of pet hair! But, it is sometimes just overkill to get out one of the vacuums, which may or may not be on a different floor of the house than where we want to use it. I was actually looking for a replacement of a Black & Decker hand-vac that we used to have. I saw this Shark model, though, and decided to give it a try. Besides over 15,000 reviews, it was also available in my favorite green color (that’s always a good way to judge appliances, right?). Wow, I absolutely love this thing. It has great suction, the dirt cup holds a lot, and the filters are super easy to keep clean. And, I get a real kick out of the way the dirt cup FLINGS the dirt into the trash can when I hit the button to open up. Super cool! I see many happy years with this (fingers crossed). The color and style blend in so I’m able to keep it in its charger on the shelf in my kitchen where I also keep my cookbooks. Blended in but easily accessible, and super easy to put back into the charger. Finally, it is lightweight and easy to carry around with me. LOVE IT.

The suction is average but the price is way over the top. It will not pick up a small clump of dog hairs from the carpet unless the special nozzle is attached and then it is necessary to go over the area several times. Very disappointing performance and highly over priced. It does look good though when sitting in its pod doing nothing!

Too expensive for a low quality, battery runs out so quickly, too light which feels cheap

I already own a handheld Shark vac that has a wider brush head and I wanted this one specifically for the narrow size with ability to clean corners and baseboards. It is handling that use well and is extremely easy to empty with the push of a button and a little tap. I have used it for 10-15 minute cleaning. One caveat: I plugged it in to the charger the evening I received it and made the mistake of placing it in the corner of my bedroom. Around 4:00 a.m., a flashing blue light on the unit woke me up. I moved the charger to a different room and have not had an issue with it flashing since. Update: After 2 years, 4 months of use, the battery no longer charges. The unit gets maybe 15 seconds of run time before shutting off. Replacing the rechargeable battery costs more than getting a different vacuum.

This is an amazing must have ! It’s sleek, efficient and so easy to use and recharge is quick. I’m amazed at its suction capacity. It is value for money given its performance. Trust me, don’t deviate and buy this!
