These are American spec and colourway and as such take a little longer to arrive. However delivery was only a few days. Glad I found these as the Ultra X 4 UK shoes get bad reviews and in my opinion look horrible. These are spot on and a good replacement for Ultra X 3s. Yes, they come up small, it's yesterday's news. Simply buy one size up. Perfect.

The trainer is a narrow fitting. Had this brand before without any issues. Hopefully they should stretch.

It has proper laces

I am not satisfied with the item. I question the authenticity of the shoe. Wording on the side incorrect. Wording on the insole coming off. Very disappointing. Avoid

Looks good but not a patch on the pair it replaced. Certainly not worth the £100 spent.

Always have Salomon hiking boots/shoes, bought that pair for this summer hike in the Pyrenees and after 2 hours it splits as per the picture. No way to sent them back as already on holidays, now left with defects shoes.

I like a pair of everything shoes. These fit the bill! I use them daily for my occupation as a handyman. After six months, they have not pulled a single stitch or had any delamination of the soles. This is the first pair of shoes I have had in over 10 years that when the laces broke I didn't just go buy another pair of shoes. Yes, most of them are that bad. I've worn Merrill, Keen, Red Wing, Chippewa, you name it. The soles are actually wearing out before the shoe falls apart! Yes, they are a bit narrow. I always throw out the factory insoles no matter the brand. Aftermarket insoles are always worth it. Every time I strap these shoes on, I get Happy Feet.

My second pair of Salomon shoes, but won’t be my last. Light, supportive, great fit and supremely comfortable for walking or hiking long distances. I’ve walked 25km or more in these many times and always felt fresh with no discomfort at the end. They are the best!

I ruined a pair of these by washing them and submerging them for 3hrs in water and purex. Salomon gave me a credit to their store when I explained what happened, which is very nice of them. I bought another pair as well from amazon in the meantime, and these have to be some of the best shoes created. They grip the heel of your foot very nicely and feel more like you are wearing a running shoe, albeit a little stiffer because of the waterproof membrane. You might notice one foot is bigger than the other when you wear shoes with waterproof membrane like goretex or cswp membranes. I have stood in a stream of water with these a bunch of times and they worked amazing, but just don't fall in because the water will come in from the top lol. That is what happened to me.
