HistaGest-DAO by Designs for Health is a solid supplement for supporting the digestion of histamine-containing foods. The gastro-resistant tablets work well and are convenient to take. I noticed reduced discomfort after meals high in histamine. The only reason I rated four stars instead of five is that results can vary depending on the individual and timing of the dose, but overall, it’s a high-quality product for those managing histamine sensitivity.

This works very well and is gentle on stomach as well. Highly recommend.

Excellent codiccion product

I have tried several different DAO supplements for histamine intolerance. This one works the best and I love that the tablets are tiny and can be swallowed without water. The package is also easy to just put in my purse or even my pocket as it is small. Sadly though, these are super expensive, even on subscribe and save....and I go through 2 per month. I will keep trying other brands to see if I can find something more economical.

This enzyme is a game changer if you have a histamine intolerance. I take one before I eat at all restaurants, because they all seem to serve something I can’t eat and it’s usually an ingredient I can see. I don’t take anymore risks, I pop one of these in my mouth and it stops any possible reaction I would suffer due to my histamine intolerance.

My rating is arbitrary--I tried these pills as part of my extensive search for remedies to my teen's allergies to avoid the usual crap. They didn't help but that is because the allergies were not related to diet intake. This product may be good for those specifically needing it.

A bit expensive, BUT they work really well and are high quality. Also the dispenser packaging is PERFECT for keeping in a purse or bag. I like that it dispenses one into your hand without having to open an entire bottle.
