Not what I thought
When I purchased this bag of Hawthorne candy wafers my expectation was that it would be tart because Hawthorne fruit is tart. What a surprise! The candy is a light pink 1 1/2" in diameter wafer, about 1mm thick. It comes in small packets of 5 wafers. The smell is sort of musty. Upon biting it the texture is sandy. The taste of Hawthorne is far, far away. This tastes a little like powdered sugar glaze with a very faint tartness. The tartness is akin to eating a Cosmic Crisp apple. Almost nonexistent, but there as a faint afterthought. Would I buy it again? No. The taste really doesn't do anything for me. And, frankly, I don't really care for consuming sugar for sugar's sake. Would I recommend it? Again, no. I was disappointed with the taste, so, no. I wouldn't recommend it unless you like to eat sugar wafers.
