I hadn't changed my own oil and filter in decades, but due to the shops in my area not wanting to work on my 35 year old Explorer Sport beater backup ride I keep in case of zombie apocalypse, I did it myself. This tool saved me. The garage where the last filter was installed used the wrong filter and it was too skinny for my wrench, and the space is quite tight. This universal wrench was delivered in only 2 hours 15 minutes for the $5 upcharge! Tool attaches to a 3/8" ratchet and grips the filter well. Magnet is a big plus. Ingenious design. Filter was on so tight I had to use a 1 foot bit extension and a 3 foot cheater bar to get the filter to turn. I took the tools to the limit and I was worried I might break something, but this wrench is high quality. I got it loosened eventually. After realizing that I can't trust the previous shop to do the job right, I am going to change my own oil from now on - and this tool will be crucial to that success. The price is so reasonable it's a no brainer and makes the job much easier.

Been doing oil changes for about 35 years of my life. If I can’t get them off by hand I have always used an oil filter strap type wrench. Finally got around to getting this and I’m glad I did. For one it’s got a strong magnet so it can hold its own weight or the weight of an average filter easily. It’s got a rubber pad as well so no marks left on the top of the filter. I would recommend you use this to only remove filters. I just use my hand to install, unless you don’t have much hand strength, but point being don’t crank your filters on! They don’t need it. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone that does oil filter work. It’s adjustable to fit most common sizes on vehicles.

Was great for taking off my previous filter. Not so great for my new one that had a built in nut. It got the job done since i only needed to do a 3/4 turn. If the nodes that gripped the filter were just a HAIR longer it would have been perfect. Still worked exactly how intended

I was admittedly very skeptical. But due to some YT testing of various devices, I decided to try it. It has been quite some time since it arrived, but I didn't want to give an assessment without giving it a lot of real world use. We have several vehicles and put on a lot of miles, and I am quite vigilant with oil changes. There are very few things that frustrate me more than having a filter too tight and not enough room to fit my hands on it for a proper wrestle. Oil filters never need much torque, it is getting traction on it that causes the problem. The WORKPRO Universal Oil Filter Wrench simply grips and grabs with no problem. Great tool. Some vehicles need extra tightening. This was my motorcycle. Tight spot and needed extra tightening. I know I will need this when taking it off also. It tightens and loosens. Works great with a ratchet. Filter is a good distance from the ratchet hole. So the whole ratchet fully seats in the filter wrench.

I have been changing my own oil for the past 15 years. The last few times I had a very challenging time taking off the oil filter after my basic oil wrench bent and broke. I bought another oil wrench and even though it was fix-sized right, only scuffed the outside of the filter and didn't loosen it. This was a dream!! Attached my socket wrench to it and sized down the three arms. With minimal effort, the oil cap twisted off with out being crushed or even scratched. Easiest oil change I've had in a long time. It also appears to be built sturdy so I expect I am going to be able use it until I can't change my own oil anymore. 10/10 would recommend this.

Good product and works fine for older model vehicles. As for the new vehisle where you have to take half the engine bay apart these days, it's really useless. The size makes it hard to attach to the filter using a socket wrench and once on, hard to operate. The way they install engines today in very small bays, no-one really likes working on them, anymore. There has been a lot of videos on YT about the struggles manufacturers are making for the little guy, just trying to make a living.
