I have three slow cookers in the last 10 years and I was keen to get cracking with this one. The product arrived quickly and I found the price very realistic. The product looks exactly the same as the image and I have found it easy to wipe down the red 'shell' of the unit and it does not leave a smear from the cloth or the cleaning product. The cooking dish itself is beautiful and solid and would be perfect for serving the food straight at the table; it is also transferable to the oven. I tend to set my slow cooker dish up the night before so that I can lift it out of the fridge and place it in the base unit in the morning, switch it on and go. The dish easily holds a meal suitable for feeding 6 hungry people. I have cooked a variety of dishes over the last few weeks including: stews and casseroles lasagne Hot chocolate and fondues Rice pudding Sponge puddings I love putting my porridge oats and milk in it at night and waking up to a lovely breakfast for the whole family. The settings allow you to cook dishes on high, low and there is an auto setting for keeping food warm. The settings are very similar to other slow cookers I have had and seem to be quite standard. I find you can cook a pice of Brisket with vegetables in about 6 hours and the meat is succulent and tender. This product is fantastic, excellent value for money and does exactly what you would expect from any slow cooker; the fact that it looks pleasing to the eye and transfers well to the dining table is an added bonus.

Bought to replace a 20 year old original Slowcooker which cracked. Theres only 2 sometimes 3 for tea nowadays, so we thought the 1.5 litre was too small but the 6 litre plus sizes too big. the 3.5 is fine for us, using it for a main evening for 3 to 4 people with a little left over for a snack the following day. This Slow Cooker looks good , is easy to handle and is perfect for the job. The adjuster switch is a bit lightweight and on a pickky note could do with a little colour dot so you know what level you have switched to as you have to bend low to see if you've got it right. We liked the oval shape and the glass top has a good easy to grip handle. Instructions simple and adequate. We bought an updated cookbook at the same time - all in all a good quality at a fair price.

Very good quality as with all Andrew James products. Only issue I have is that the switch for temperatures isn’t very clear and could have had a better indicator

Loving the simplicity and ease of use of this slow cooker. Does a great job every time. Tend to use it for prep and go meals - i.e. nothing other than 15 minutes chopping and adding ingredients, put it in the pot, with no browning, pre-boiling or any other preparation, switch on low, leave for 8 hours - eat. Have recently done curries, beef in black bean sauce, cassoulet, straganoff, cataplana, bourguignon, even baked potatoes (5 hours rather than 8). Prefer not to make it more complicated than it needs to be - so don't [re-brown meats, or fry off onions, or pre-boil veg, just put it all in. Then non-stick pot is truly non-stick, and it all washes up so quick and easily. This have a new impetus to my cooking, especially as the ease and the results just make it such a great way to cook.

I have never had a slow cooker and could not see the point - how wrong can one be. This is truly a great product and it makes fantastic dishes without any great effort. Just chuck in whatever you have in the morning and switch on to slow cooking and at the end of the day you have a piping hot meal. Whatever you want to cook this is a truly great piece of kit and I do not know how I have spent a lifetime without one. Here is a dish I have made many times now which you may like to try BUT I accept no responsibility if it is not to your liking or does not turn out as you might have expected. 1lb chuck steak cut into cubes (you only need cheap cut of meat as slow cooking makes anything tender and tasty. 2 cups of cubes potato 2 cups chopped carrots 2 cups chopped onions 2 cups chopped celery 1 tin chopped tomatoes 1 cup of Pasata Top up with water Add seasonal Switch on to Low at 6 a.m. and by 7 p.m. and you will have a tasty meal ready to go. If you are around during the day you can set to High for 1 or 2 hours, then turn to Low for the rest of the day. Stir the contents and check seasoning and add more to taste. You can leave on low for longer if you are not ready to eat until later in the evening as the longer you cook the greater the tenderness and overall taste. Happy Cooking

Excellent lightweight slow cooker with easy to use control. Super easy to wash, just leave with water inside and then wash. I also use the pan on a gas hob to sear the meat. Just use something to hold the pan whilst doing this as it gets hot. Wish I'd bought it sooner!

Does the job but controls seem flimsy but works fine. Just right size

Je possédais déjà une mijoteuse de 6,5 litres bien pratique pour mijoté de bons petits plats quand on reçoit des invités. Une mijoteuse plus petite est supers pour 2 à 4 personnes.

ich bin eigentlich per Zufall an das slowcoocken geraten und mir dann nach langem suchen am Andrew James 3,5 l hängen geblieben. Das Gerät kam überpünktlich an was mich noch mehr freute denn Lieferzeit war mit 10 Tagen angegeben und dennoch war es innerhalb 6 Tagen da. Der mitgelieferte Uk Adapterstecker für die Eurostecker war gleich kurioserweise in doppelter Ausfürung dabei. Sehr großzügig. Das Gerät ist simpel aufgebaut. Deckel, Keramiktopf und Basiskochstation. Nicht wackelt alles passt ideal. Drehknopf welcher etwas schwergängig ist mit der Stufe high, low, und Auto,eine rote Einschaltbeleuchtung. Auto bedeutet das er erst mal schnell hochheizt bis eben high erreicht ist und dann automatisch auf low weiterkocht. Ideal für Geflügel oder wenn die Zutaten aus dem Kühlschrank kommen. Ich habe als erstens gleich mal Hüherfrikasse gemacht aus Hähnchenschenkel welche nocht leicht angefroren waren. 5 Stück gehen gut rein und ein Bund Suppengemüse passte auch noch rein. Das ganze mit gut 1 Liter Wasser und etwas Hühnerbrühe zusätzlich mit dazu und gut 4 h auf high gegart bis das Fleisch fast von den Knochen fiel. High deswegen weil sie eben noch leicht angefroren waren. Bedienungsanleitung gut verständlich geschrieben. Die Basisstation hat beim ersten aufheizen den typischen Neugeruch wie bei einem Backofen welches aber mit der Zeit verschwindet. Wird auch ideal in der Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben. Beeinträchtig in keisterweise das essen weil es auch nur einmalig vorkommt. Ich kann das Teil echt nur empfehlen. Rezepte gibt es ja zu genüge im www man muss halt nur suchen. Werd mir wohl noch den 1,5 zulegen da mir der Topf für kleine Fleischmengen von ca 500 gr dann doch zu groß ist.

produit de basse qualité a éviter -1 le mode lent rapide et automatique est manuel sans programmation (préciser nulle part) c'est a dire que si vous mettez une préparation en mode rapide (recommandation 4-5 heures) et que vous vous absentez 8 heures pour votre travail et bien la préparation cuit 8 heures.... -2 emboutissage a l'arrache de la cuve qui protège les résistances de chauffage et même pas de soudure pour rigidifier la carrosserie de l'appareil -3 couvercle en verre épaisseur très minimale au premier petit choc je pense qu'il vas se fendre.... point positif la prise électrique de correspondance avec les prise européenne jointe avec le produit et la cuve en fonte émaillée qui parait de bonne qualité

vor etwas über einem Jahr habe ich das erste mal von Slow Cookern gehört und als dieser Topf hier im Angebot war, habe ich zugeschlagen. Seitdem köchelt der Topf ein bis zweimal die Woche bei mir vor sich hin. Durch den mitgelieferten Adapter war der Topf sofort einsatzbereit, allerdings sollte man ihn vor der ersten Benutzung einmal nur mit Wasser gefüllt laufen lassen, denn er stinkt für ein paar Minuten ganz gewaltig, das steht auch so in der Bedienungsanleitung. Die Stufen Aus-Slow-High-Automatic reichen völlig für die Zubereitung der Gerichte, bisher ist alles gelungen, was ich im AJ gekocht habe. Den fehlenden Timer habe ich mit einer Zeitschaltuhr ersetzt, so kann man den Topf abends oder morgens fertig machen und wenn man nach Hause kommt, ist das Essen fertig. Wirklich praktisch, wenn man nicht die Zeit hat, lange am Herd zu stehen und Rezepte gibt es zuhauf im Internet. Nach einem Jahr in Gebrauch ist der Keramikeinsatz etwas stumpf geworden, ansonsten läuft der Topf ohne Probleme, würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen.
