Indiana Jones And The Raiders Of The Lost Ark

Unbelievable picture and sound. Rich, textured colours and deep, complex audio. Raiders never looked better! I've seen this movie so many times and this is the best non-theatrical version yet!

Great blu ray. One of the best movies ever made.

Watched this on standard blu ray when it first came out this was brought to upgrade the blu ray I all ready had as I enjoyed the film

Arrived a few days late but was not damaged and was what I ordered

Grwat movie to watch

Seen on tv melting head and expldeing head cut in this version is clear and uncut to see like this film big time

The movie looks good and sounds great on this region-free blu ray. The image is a bit darker than on previous releases (VHS; dvd). This blu ray does include a slightly cleaned-up print of the film (so that the cobra's reflection is no longer visible on the plexiglass protection for Harrison Ford during the Well of Souls sequence). Sound effects are particularly loud (whip cracking; gunshots), and John Williams' grand orchestral score thunders here. This is a bare-bones blu ray (with 3 trailers including the early teaser from early '81), which is just fine- you can always get hold of the multi-pack set for the documentary. But if you only want the movie to preserve for future viewings/generations, then get hold of this one- it's a classic. This is an ideal purchase if you only want the first of the 4 films (so far).

Lets face it, for anyone who bought the blu-ray boxset a couple of years ago just to get their hands on the (at the time) exclusive blu-ray edition of 'Raiders'... you know you did. No one wants the turkey that is (even by Spielberg's and Ford's admissions) the second film, ..... the third's so-so, and don't even get me started on the abysmal fourth film. THIS is the jewel in the boxset, the classic first and best - AT LAST available on it's own and at a great price to boot. Gorgeous re-mastered picture, punchy crisp sound. I've waited years to get my hands on this singular title and was not disappointed. You will not be either!. Buy it! :)
