This receiver has very poor range. Maximum 100 meters no timber interference. It does require charging every 5 days. Not worth buying, better to spend the money on more mains powered devices which have a range of 300 meters to 1 km depending on terrain (timber not mountain).

Works very well. Has three distance adjustments. Would have given 5 stars, but the only downside is the bracket the sensor is attached too. There is no method to tighten the sensor to the bracket. I solved this by using strips of duct tape to the backside once the sensor angle was adjusted properly. Otherwise, even a strong wind will cause the sensor to lose the angle adjustment.

Great alarm works well. Unit is 150' from receiver.

If you use this outdoors. use 3m elect. tape on seam around sending unit, you will see the cap between the 4 screws, on the case where water seeps inside the case. will save you trouble & money.
