Patterns in Polymer: Imprint and Accent Bead Techniques

I feel like a kid in a candy store when I look at this book. The pictures of the creations are so mouth watering. The instructions for the individual projects go into just the right amount of detail. The author seems to want to share her passion as well as her knowledge and this book it seems has been as much of a joy for her to write as it was for me to read. Really glad I purchased.

Create beautiful patterns in polymer clay with this simple, but addictive technique. I've read and re-read this book many times and followed the guidelines Julie shares with great success. I adapted her advice, rather than following her colour recipes and step by step projects but I still found this book invaluable. If you love colourful jewellery with interesting abstract patterns, you will love this book.

A great book by Julie Picarello. For me, the sign of a good craft book is that one wants to make most of the things in it! This doesn't disappoint, and is a valued part of my polymer clay library.

Was happy and sad at the same time, very few pages and very crammed to what space there was however plenty of things to look at, hard to follow because of layout, and not enough instruction,

The patterns looked very complicated at first but I found them very easy to follow. I have made some lovely pendants from this method and Julie explains everything that I needed and I have picked up some great tips.

I love the designs in this book and have had a try at the technique. I intend to do more and work at achieving the balance of colours that Julie uses in this very inspirational book.

Excellent reference book and arrived super fast. Instruction are clear and precise and photos are of excellent quality. This book gives you loads of ideas to produce high qualility items. Well worth the money.

Ce livre est pas mal du tout ! En fait il aborde une SEULE technique : le mokumé gané .Il se lit très très bien ....malgré ce que certaines personnes disent par rapport au fait de maîtriser l'anglais , je ne le maîtrise pas du tout ...La première partie ,pas trop longue ,explique quoi utiliser comme pièces pour faire le mokumé ,les mélanges de couleurs utilisés par l'artiste .Et par la suite on passe à la pratique ,les photos sont très claires et suffisent à comprendre ,les modèles sont abordables et agréables à l'oeil ,et les possibilités de la technique intéressantes .IMPRINT = EMPREINTES .BEAD = PERLE .....Le vocabulaire rentre très vite ,95 Pages ...et je ne regrette pas du tout mon achat .Pour celle qui débute , ce n'est pas le premier livre à acheter ,car il s'agit bien d'une seule technique qui est traitée dans ce livre.

Un sacco di nuove idee, spiegate davvero bene! I procedimenti sono illustrati benissimo ed il manuale è di facile comprensione! Consigliato!

A newcomer to work with clay, this book explains and inspires.

Fascinante libro, muy bien explicado, incluso para principiantes. Una técnica distinta de trabajar la arcilla polimérica que atrapa por su colorido. Tiene trucos y consejos.Lo recomiendo. No le encuentro nada desfavorable.

In diesem Büchlein beschreibt die Autorin sehr genau und anschaulich (mit vielen guten Bildern) wie man mit einer wirklich sehr einfachen Technik ganz tolle Perlen und Schmuck aus Polymer Clay herstellen kann. (Fimo). Es macht super viel Spaß, der Kreativität sind keine Grenzen gesetzt und jedes Teil ist ein Unikat! Wer gerne mit Fimo bastelt wird seine Freude daran haben sich von diesem Büchlein inspirieren zu lassen. Ganz toll finde ich übrigens die Doppelseite, in der die Autorin ihre Farbmischungen vorstellt. Es ist wirlich überraschend, welche gänzlich unerwarteten Farben bei manchen Mischungen herauskommen.
