Bought as Xmas present for young grandson, so cannot as yet comment, apart from to say it appears as described, good quality and I am confident will provide many hours in exploratory and instructive play. Was bought together with a child's basic instruction book on magnetism, which will give the little boy an idea of the physics involved..

Brilliant
Home schooling at it's best! Used these magnets with iron filings to investigate magnetic fields. They worked perfectly. Small but quite strong. Well worth the money.

Good Value and Quality
Nice pack of magnets and filings. Decent amount of filings and the magnets work well - and come with a plastic separator and metal bits to cap the tops so you can keep the pair of magnets together easily. The only problem is having a good surface to pour the filings into, where the magnet can go underneath, and then be able to pour the filings back into the bag. My main technique has been to put a blank A4 page into a plastic takeaway container (tupperware box) - then balance the box over the magnets and pour on the filings. That way the filings are easy to pour back into the packet afterwards but with good white background that makes it easy to see the pattern, and also easy for the children to move the filings around with the magnet without the risk of mess.

Bought to illustrate some magnetic science to a couple of 6-year-olds and they've really enjoyed it. The bar magnets are a good size and they're good quality. Came packaged well and with plenty of iron filings. Bought as a one off, but as the kids enjoyed them so much, I may get them a set each.
