This ashwaganda KSM-66, is supposed to be very potent. A serving size is 2 capsules. The product maker states not to have any caffeine products while taking, so just a warning if you have your morning coffee and try to take this product later in the day, you might have some issues, just letting ya know. The capsule ingredients are pretty wild looking, it has these little red flakes inside. I open one up for you and posted some pictures and a video to illustrate this. I don't know why the product has RED # 3, in it as this is not good for you. I felt ok taking with no adverse side effects or stomach issues. My sleep habits stayed same no better no worse. As far as price good be a little better at $29.99, I believe a good price pointvwould be $24.99 to $26.99 and would be a good deal. I would like to give 3.5 stars but it is not a choice, so I will give it 4 stars, but It is a 3.5 star prouduct.

Ashwaghanda, at least in my experience, is usually combined with other relaxing/calming ingredients so one can't really know which one is having the effect (or lack thereof). The dose is two 1000 mg tablets which is higher dose than I've tried before. The KSM -66 formulation is standardized root extract. The manufacturer does reference published research and clinical trials, but does not provide links to that research on its website. To me, it would be a plus if they did. Cautions: there is a pretty long warning section on the label... ie. meant for use by healthy adults, should not be taken by persons under the age of 18, do not use if pregnant/nursing, and don't consume with caffeinated products, avoid use of alcohol and prescription stimulants. And, don't exceed suggested dose - adverse effects can happen. In short.. talk to your doctor and seek medical help if adverse effects happen. All of the above is in very tiny print. Read the tiny print. Other label notes: it is made in the USA with internationally sourced ingredients and has a Good Manufacturing Practice designation. For me, this formulation is different - I've been taking it about half an hour before going to bed, and am sleeping solidly until wake up time. It's not "black-out" sleep. Dreams are long and vivid. I wake up refreshed, no drowsy after effects.

I wanted to try this supplement because of the claims it made about stress relief and sleep quality. After about ten days I decided to stop. The supplement seemed to give me stress instead. It might be related to the claim of giving you energy and I misinterpreted that feeling but it really seemed like stress. I assume it might affect people differently. I might not be the person this if for. I wanted it to work. I want the benefits it claims but this product apparently is not for me. Three stars should mean average which is want I would rate this product because I cannot speak to the effectiveness without taking it for a longer period. How can you argue with a clinical study. Sometimes 'one size does not fit all' so to say.
