I’m really impressed with this pool heater! It heats the water quickly and keeps the temperature steady, which makes swimming so much more enjoyable. The setup was simple, and the controls are easy to use. It’s quiet while running and feels very energy-efficient compared to other heaters I’ve tried. Overall, it’s a reliable, powerful heater that’s made a huge difference for our pool time. Highly recommend!

I live in Washington State and use this heater for my 18 × 9 × 5 ft Intex pool. It keeps the water at 90 °F consistently and heats it up to that temperature surprisingly fast. It’s very efficient and runs smoothly even on cooler days. The smart connectivity is awesome. I can control everything from my iPhone, adjust the temperature remotely, and set it to start and stop automatically at different times. The automation works perfectly. Installation was straightforward, and I love that the heat pump automatically activates the pool pump, so the whole system runs together seamlessly. I just had a swim in October, and it was amazing, the water was perfectly warm even with cool air outside.

Excellent Pool Heater Pump!!!! A Game Changer! We are absolutely thrilled with our Dr. 1100 HP heater pump! From the moment it was installed (a quick and easy job for our electrician), it’s been a total game changer for our pool experience. The water heats up beautifully, allowing us to enjoy the pool comfortably even on cooler nights. What we really love is the convenience of the app being able to control the temperature without ever leaving the water is amazing. Whether we're swimming during the day or relaxing under the stars at night, the water is always just right. Thanks to this heater, we're now planning to keep our pool open much longer into the season. It’s been a great investment and has made our pool even more enjoyable for everyone. Highly recommend!

This pool heater is a straight up MIRACLE. We are in Oregon and installed the unit in late February. It heated the hot tob portion of the pool from 52 degrees to 102 in 3 hours. Just last week ( May) we heated the whole 30,000 gallon pool with outside lows in the mid 40s to highs in the mid 60's and were SWIMMING in 80 Degree water in 48 hours. That's amazing for MAY in OREGON. Unit is quiet, well built, and easy to use. Definitely will not miss paying insane prices for propane!!

This heat pump seemed well made and worked as advertised for a little over a week. The controls are cumbersome... having to push and hold buttons to select, lock, and unlock (counterintuitive). Not great at heating, even when it worked; and nowhere near as fast as a gas or electric heater. Then... it threw a code for gas exhaust temperature sensor failure and stopped working altogether. Manual identifies the code with a description, but that is it. Website has NOTHING. I finally received a response from company. They had me troubleshooting potential solutions that did not work. Then, they refused to do anything else! They said their warranty does not cover technicians, nor repair, nor return… despite the unit being installed less than two weeks and owned just over a month. DO NOT BUY... TOO MUCH MONEY WASTED FOR A NOW USELESS HUNK OF METAL. Since install takes longer than return period and company would not honor their warranty, despite it being in operation for only about a week, I had to pay a restocking fee to get rid of it. So, I am out more than a thousand dollars on the unit and another couple thousand for the install (concrete pad, plumbing, and electrical)… and have NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARBAGE.

I’ve had my pool heater for several months now and couldn’t be happier. My pool is large and it’s doing a great job. It runs every day and keeps my pool at a cozy 86 degrees. You can hardly hear it compared to my old heater, and my electric bill is drastically lower! It’s also great to be able to control the heater through my phone.

So far, good. Took about 20 hours to take water temp from 60 to 92. Air temps 85 day, 55 night. Pulled my solar cover out and added when not in pool. Definitely want to use, as without I loose 8-10 degrees during the night. Running 12 hours a day, pool pump 13 hours. So far 34 hours run time & used 128kwh. Hopefully usage tapers off keeping pool at 92 with cover on. Will update if I can. One issue I’ve noticed & can’t quite figure it out is the 40amp gfci breaker trips once or twice a day, usually when the water temp is at the set point. Not seeing any errors that I can find.
