functional art piece
well made, hand-made, from what I've read. simple and functional--a japanese-like quality about it. some reviewers complain the sticks don't stand straight and ash falls out over edge of the holder. I've found that if you bend the end of the stick and press it into the hole it stands straight and ash falls directly into the bowl. nicely done and reasonably priced. impressed.

Picture doesn't do it justice
I'm so glad I went with this one. The hole for the incense stick holds it straight. The wood is darker than the ad's picture, and I'm glad. Made in India. It caught all of the ash for easy clean-up. It feels quality made. I love the look and feel of it.

Simple and looks nice, but it’s a bit too big for a standard incense stick and too small to fit 2 incense sticks without almost breaking one of them. It’s not uncommon for ash to end up outside of the basin. Quality is decent for $7.

Yea buy it. It’s small. But you need a plate to catch the ash.
Yes it’s smaller than what I thought I was going to get. But I place it at the end of a plate and it works amazing. Ash falls to the plate. Plate not included. But it fits the sticks.

As expected
was nice, fits most incense sticks. Hole for it isnt too large but easy to find for the sticks which keeps each stick in place plus the wood for it is nice and sturdy.

Aesthetically pleasing but...
They look really nice but i am constantly going around with a vacuum to get the ash that ends up surrounding these things, it still misses about 50% of it . It's confounding.

Lovely decorative piece, good quality and durable. Quite soft wood so will dent if dropped, but easy to clean and can tolerate regular cleaning. Size is perfect to catch falling incense stick ends.

Functional and stylish
It's minimalist but tasteful and does the job. The centre aperture could be more roomy but I can fit two incense sticks in just about. I like the natural wood and it's grain. Pleasing purchase.
