Silhouette Heron Light Garden Sculpture (Solar) by Smart Garden

I was looking at the bog standard plastic herons till I saw this one. It's a little bit more expensive than those type, but in my opinion, worth it. It's a very nice looking metalwork heron ornament during the day and at night when the solar lights kick in, it is very pretty. I bought it as a heron deterrent after a real life heron got some of my fish, time will tell whether it works for that purpose. But as a stand alone garden ornament I am very pleased with the quality and appearance, though of course in time the weather conditions may well diminish the finish. Some reviewers stated that the prong that you stick it in the ground with could do with being longer? Fingers crossed, so far I have found it to be okay. The solar panel can be easily removed [it is on the heron's back] so if you have the ornament in the shade, you can take the panel out during the day and place it in a sunny spot [I put mine on the outside of my kitchen windowsill] to charge up. The brightness is much better than I had expected it to be. All in all, I am very pleased with the item.

Love this. Fab addition to the garden. Bright colour changing light. Very sturdy. Easy to assemble. Pleased with quality & think it's great value for money.

This is life size and really nicely made. Gives a nice pattern of light at night. You have to put it together which is really easy to do. Bought for a friend who has koi in a pond and trouble with seagulls. It deters them from coming too close. Very nicely painted and a great gift. You do have to embed the feet in to something to keep it stable or as my friend has done, a little cement on the ridge of the pond. Great buy.

This is a life size Heron and looks fabulous in the garden as you can see from the photo. If you place the heron in a shady spot as I have done, the solar panel is removable and can be placed anywhere during the day to catch the sun and put back in at night for the light effect. I love this garden ornament.

Looks lovely however had mine in sunlight for 2 days and it failed to light up at night.

Local heron has had 2 of our fish this winter, only 4 left, poor souls! Needed to do something, quick. Not keen on the plastic herons for detracting so viewed this one. I am glad we did. Arrived very quickly before estimated delivery. Well packaged, easy to assemble. Good durable item. Placed by pond securely with fixing supplied. Looks very attractive and does illuminate at night a very soft non-intrusive light. Still got 4 fish......

Hab diesen Vogel trotz einer einzigen und dazu noch schlimmen Bewertung bestellt. Bis auf den etwas zu gelb geratenen Schnabel ist er wirklich täuschend echt. Das Solarmodul ist nur eingelegt und lässt sich problemlos herausnehmen. Die Beine werden einfach eingesteckt und an einem Bein mit einer Flügelschraube befestigt. Zum besseren Halt wir zwischen den Füßen noch ein Erdnagel in ein Gewinde eingedreht. Für das Geld wirklich eine tolle Garten/Teichdeko!
