These brackets are really sturdy. We built a swing set frame with treated lumber. It's perfect for two swings. Hardware included makes it easy for assembly. The rust proof coating is thick so it'll hold up to the elements. Just figure out your wood measurements for desired size and have fun!

Made the build easy and sturdy. All you need to buy is the lumber. Less than 50$ at Lowe’s or Homedepot.

These are good, solid, sturdy units. Why only 4 stars? Because they are slightly over 4” x 6”. And lumber yards carry planed lumber that is actually 3.5” x 5.5”. 🙁 so the fit is very sloppy and need to be shimmed to prevent the lag screws from dimpling the steel. And if the local lumber yard doesn’t stock 4 x 6, and you need to substitute with planed doubled 2” x 6”, you need to shim even more. But, they are sturdy, and solid assembled.

I have found that these are worth the investment for building a small swing for my wife in the backyard. These brackets eliminate the guesswork with angle measurements. These are designed so that the top beam is a sturdy 4x6 and the 4 legs are 4x4’s. With that thicker top beam I feel more confident making this wide enough to hold a porch style swing for 2 adults to sit on. Since the A-frame is perfectly measured and equal on both sides, it made adding my own cross beam between the 4x4’s easy. The brackets are powder coated steel and the painted coating is on the inside as well. This will definitely help with preserving the integrity of the metal while it stays outdoors year round. The kit includes the hardware. I literally only need the lumber. You can assemble this without a chop saw providing you have 4x4’s of equal length. You don’t need to trim the tops—the brackets do all the work.

these are beyond perfect Thick metal great design and construction. Only thing is you need to sand or cut down a 4x6 lumber to first in the top cross bar.

The product seems strong and well built. However, I had posts delivered 4 x 4 and 6 x 4 as specified, I expected the receiving slots to be 4 inch square on the inside. However, they are not they are just shy of a 1/4 of an inch on each edge too small. ( on 4 x 4 slots) So you must trim each post end, now this is real pain if you do not have the tools for trimming. I have seen others post that it was easy to knock in, I can only assume you did not have exact 4 x 4 posts. I find this totally illogical, I am UK based and a 4x4 post is a very common posts size and used for decking etc. Why not make a bracket they slide into? In fact why say they do? Then ship all the way to the UK for me to find out, they do not? I am now going to have to do the trimming as sending back to the USA will be a royal pain in the !! So just be aware that you should have the tools to trim, or get your post supplier to take off the required amount. Maybe get the bracket and take with you to order if it is a local company, sadly I did not.

So I purchased these for our potential tire swing we will be building in the spring. I've had a chance to look at the quality of the brackets and they are 100% solid. They are guys selling tire swings for $1,000 and the only thing that they're not including is the lumber or the swing itself which is not all that much. If you want to build your own tire swing or rope swing this is what you need to start with for sure.

Bracket quality is amazing.... however 1 slight drawback is The measurements of 4x4 and 6x4 is the outer measurements for your bracket, while the wood is the same so I had to buy a plainer to trim down the wood. Would have been good if you had rather specified the inner dimensions as this is what is critical or order to wood correctly.

I bought these brackets from the USA to make my son a swing set for his birthday but guess what - no one stocks 4 x 6 timber in Australia so they are useless. Also, the insides of the brackets are welded uneven and have been put together poorly. Will be posting back to next week.
