Alpicool Y16T 15L Compressor Car Fridge Freezer, Portable DC 12v Camping Refrigerator

The Alpicool Y16 16L Car Fridge is an amazing product that delivers excellent performance for its size. It works perfectly to keep beverages and snacks cool during long drives, outdoor picnics, or camping trips. I’ve been using it for a long time with no issues, and its compact size makes it easy to fit into a car or RV without taking up too much space. The cooling is efficient and consistent, and it’s incredibly convenient for road trips and outdoor adventures. That said, it is a bit noisy at times, especially when the cooling kicks in, but it’s not overly disruptive. I do wish I had gone for a bigger size, as the 16L capacity, while sufficient for light use, can feel limiting for larger outings. Overall, it’s a reliable and high-quality car fridge that’s perfect for keeping your essentials cool on the go.

It is not an 12v coolbox it is actually a12v fridge with a compressor, it uses very little power out of my camper battery and keeps everything fresh and cold. It does make a noise like a fridge but it is not loud and you get used to it and it’s not on all the time as it works on a thermostat just like your fridge at home.

Very impressed by this fridge. Have tried several different but never been good enough. Perfect size for my VW campervan and keeps food at the right temp. Been in South of France for several weeks and this has been perfect. Great bit of kit.

Awesome car fridge freezer. Even on the hottest days this really is like having your kitchen fridge freezer in your vehicle. I go to dog competitions and can be away all day. I mistakenly turned up the setting to freeze and came back to find my chilled smoothie had frozen solid. I would highly recommend this product.

Purchased in Nov 24, have used on 4 camping trips last year (25) and on 2 camping trips in 2026. Unit has now failed, after 18 months. It's good when it works but now it doesn't, failed mid camping trip and there is no obvious way to even attempt a repair from an appropriate technician. No response from product support yet

Very efficient. Ideal for camper van. Quite noisy but we got used to it.

Our dog is on wet food and we are taking her on trip for more than 2 weeks long. We had to find a solution to store her frozen food and this came into our search window. Size is perfect, we drive a saloon and it fits in average sized boot without issues. I put some home made insulation and frozen food lasted about 10 hours until we got to our first pit stop with main power. I wouldn’t say the fridge is that quiet, admitted it was summer, humid condition, I would score about 5 out of 10 for noise, 8 out of 10 for value for money and the weight is manageable. Overall built quality is 6.

It comes with leads for 12v and 240v. Both plug into same socket. I could not find this when buying product in the information. People appeared to be buying a spare leaf but you don’t need to. It works incredibly well, it does not use a lot of power, about 30w when compressor is running. I running off a Jackery, explorer, it works on either 240v and 12v, although 12v did give an F1 error once - not sure what this meant but it worked after. The low profile means it will fit under the rock and roll bed in my camper.
