I have ordered this before and may do again. Nice to have it out for a pinch full after a meal, good for mouth freshener and digestion. I know it seems costly, but it does last a while. UPDATE: Hope to get this message to the producers. I wrote the review above before opening my new bag. Hate to say, but it has a strange 'soapy' taste. I'm not exactly sure what it is but it is NOT like the first product I had, which was great. Perhaps this is a fluke but want producer to know.

I found the taste deplorable...like some kind of added chemical, like something you might disinfect a bathroom with, NOT a good taste, and it stays with you. I guess it might cover up bad breath, but just by being worse than the original problem. I had had candied fennel many times before, this was quite different...and well, sure wish I had not bought it. Just now bought the original fennel candy I know, and love, but unless this is a childhood taste you know you like, I would steer clear of it. Just. Awful.

I’ll start by saying I love floral flavors and I love black licorice. So I figured this would be amazing. When I opened the bag I was greeted/assaulted with the scent of a very strong old lady rose perfume. Not to be deterred, I put a half teaspoon into my mouth and crunched down. I immediately detected mint which was quickly replaced by sweet fennel reminiscent of Good & Plenty candy. I can’t tell if I like this or not. I loved the sweet fennel, but I’m wondering if the rose is a bit much. Minutes later, the after taste of the rose is lingering on my tongue but not much else. I feel like I licked a bar of fancy soap. I’d definitely try a different variety that’s straight up fennel.

This is a very tasty, well rounded mukhwas. It is just a bit sweeter than I would like, but overall I am very pleased. Leaves the mouth feeling great for a while.

I'm surprised the rating is as high as it is, as this product is really bad. It has an arrtifical mint/soap taste that lingers forever, with almost no fennel taste. I can't say that I've ever eaten a urinal cake, but I imagine it is somewhat similar to this. My only guess, based on the difference is ratings, is that this product's formula was changed sometime in 2025
