Should I take the string off this bow when not in use? Or is it ok to keep it strung?

They say yes. I say it looks dorky on the wall unstrung. I found that after a couple of months strung the draw weight remains the same measured with a scale strung the entire time and I shoot it regularly. Everything seems fine. It's still lots of fun. Should you? They say no and I don't say yes. Short periods of time maybe. If unstringing and restringing it causes more stress in the bow than leaving it strung. Well. I've put over 2000 arrows through mine and it seems fine and the draw weight measured is the same. Check all components carefully before each draw When people come over I still get compliments on the bow and it is strung hanging on the wall. Leave it forever without checking on it. No. Nothing like that.

Is this the old version with affixed string bridge, or the new version with built in string bridge?

The string bridges are affixed plastic or composite material. Still works great. Have had no problems and the bow shhots like a dream.

is this fast flight (FF) compatible?

If you use FF, then make really sure your arrows are heavy enough otherwise I recommend sticking with dacron, which is a little stretchy when shocked. This bow is very fast, and as such when the bow string snaps back into place it shocks the bow hard. You don't feel it so much because the bow is built so well, but using dacron and making sure your arrows are as heavy as recommended will make your bow last longer
