Very easy to use and sturdy.
Works well with a 24 Honda Pilot and factory cross bars. Easy install and seems very well made. Holds kayak securely. Folds flat for parking in garage. Minimal wind noise when installed. Would recommend two sets if carrying two kayaks although it will technically hold two if you buy an extra strap.

I Love these Folding mounts
I have a 5th gen (2021) RAV4, and 2 pairs of the older style j mounts from Thule, both the original style and the redesigned style, both are great, but sometimes at work I end up having to park in a low clearance parking garage, I had to spend time one morning removing them just to park the car. these were a great fix to the problem, the clearance between the top of the mount and the ceiling in the parking garage is about an inch, so these were perfect to add on. they are easy to fold down and back up loading is pretty easy me and my wife can get kayaks loaded in a few minutes. I am even able to unload a kayak off the roof by myself. We are considering getting a pair for my wife's car so she could go kayaking without me (the RAV4 is too high for her to load and unload on her own).

Easy to use and they look great!
Bought two of these for carrying my sons and my kayaks on my Impreza. Really easy to install. Fits and looks great too! Very secure and they've been on quite a few trips this last month already. They were pretty spendy but I expect great quality from the Thule brand. I think I paid 250 per set plus tax. They arrived within a few days! The fold down / fold up feature works fine, but it does take some strength. I am only 5'5" so I have to stand up on the inner part of the door to get the right leverage. I wish the handle action was a little smoother when locking / unlocking, but it shouldn't be a problem for most folks or you could leave them up all season? I am kind of weak right now 😅

Worth the money! Great rack!
You can tell it’s quality material straight out of the box. Had a cheap rack previously and was afraid to drive anywhere with it. But as soon as I threw my kayak up on these bad boys I hopped right on the highway to my favorite spot an hour away. Would easily drive with this rack across the country. Definitely worth the money!

Not as good as the Yakama J Low rack
A reasonably good rack but inferior to the Yakima Jay Low rack for a few reasons. My car has a "teardrop" rack and the Yakima design with it's notched foam sits better on my rack than the Thule system which is hard to keep vertical. Another important difference is the lock down mechanism. The Yakima has two large knobs that are easy to work with, the Thule uses a fairly small allen wrench to tighten the securing straps. This takes a lot longer to install the brackets and eventually either the allen wrench or, more concerning, the allen screw in the bracket will strip out which would make the bracket unable to be installed. Both are priced similar. I am returning the Thule as I consider it to be not as well designed, as the Yakima kayak brackets.

Great Carrier
Great carrier. Attaches onto the crossbars at 2 points which makes it more stable that carriers that do not. We did experience an odd whistle at freeway speeds, but not sure if that was the carrier or some part of the kayak.

High quality mounts
The package contains a pair of these mounts. This isn't made clear in the description. I have these mounted on a wing bar evo on a 10th gen Civic and they work great. I've hauled 1 and 2 kayaks with these and they are solid very high quality. Easy to install really nothing bad to say about them.

I have two pairs of these carriers and have been hauling kayaks with them for quite a few months pretty frequently. I like that they stow away and don't interfere with underground parking clearances, as well as car washes. Loading and unloading is a bit of a challenge for a single person as there is no load assist feature on these, but manageable so far. One of the kayaks I load is an expedition layup diolen touring kayak, which is really long and heavy, but even that one gets on them, if not as easily as I would like. So far no kayak has been damaged in transit. I would recommend people get crossbars that extend over the side slightly (e.g. NOT the factory ones). This would make the loading easier as one would only have to lift up and down, and not over the roof of the car.

Not much to say other than it’s great. Perfect fit on Mazda OEM cross bars, holds a kayak great. Minimal wind noise when stowed. I’d recommend it.

Don’t buy anything else if you have genuine Tesla roof bars. These are the only ones that truly fit. Expensive but worth it.
