What battery is best to use

Any 12 volt leisure battery , for light kayak use 20 amp/hr would be good

Intending to use on a k2 explorer inflatable kayak. Will this push the kayak well enough

I've not actually had the unit in the water yet but have tested it in a bucket and struggled to hold the unit steady on half power setting, so plenty of power at 18lb thrust. A mate of mine has one and it zooms along in the river, quicker than walking pace
