Until you start looking you don't realise that you can make repairs to upvc products and these spring cartridges are such an item. Easy to replace old or broken ones and door handles that were about 15 years are working like brNd new.

As described and just what was needed to replace my broken spring plates on my door handle. They appear to work better than the original ones.

So much cheaper than a new door handle. Five minute fit and bobs your uncle.

First time I had replaced the handle spring in a modern "double-glazed" door.I did my "homework first", and found that there are a number of sizes and lengths - indeed, we have two doors of this general type, and the handle body is a different length on each!So I took the edge of the door apart do that I could access the lock to check the spring size and design.I measured the old "spring unit" up, and it seemed to be the same size as this one advertised.So I bought it.When it arrived, I compared it to the "original" - yep, looked right.Cleaned up the other parts of the lock and re-greased them.Then fitted a new spring (the other side was fine, so I left it well, alone!).Fabulous. As good as new. Praise from my spouse about a job well done, etc etc.(The other spring went into my "household bits" box)Summary - I would HIGHLY recommend these springs for someone other than the most DIY-adverse.It is not a hard job to replace the springs.BUT check and measure the size before you order.

They do the job, but the springs are already beginning to go after just a couple of years.

I am so happy to have found these.Our handle on our UPVC door went floppy just before Christmas and was alarmed that it might break completely over the festive period. We were being very careful not to make it worse while we could get a repair.Googling the fault it was saying a floppy handle was due to the gearbox inside the lock its self and the cost to do this yourself was 50 to 60 pounds and looked very complicated job to do, having to remove all the lock and strip inside the door.To have someone professional to come out you were looking at anything over £150 +After much searching and contemplating new handles instead, maybe that would fix the floppy handles?But we could not find the correct size....then I spotted these inside the images of door handles.Found these on Amazon ! Decided for £2.50 a pair it was well worth a shot to repair the floppy handles .So I ordered two pair as the front door had a floppy handle too, had for years but we never use the front door.( We had swapped the handles over some time ago)When the package arrived it took literally 5 to ten minutes to install both pairs to both doors and now both doors are fully working and no longer floppy ! The old springs I took out were easy to spot as broken.Fabulous.......saved me a lot of money and time!Bit long winded review but feel so happy with the outcome.

I ordered this item on Wednesday the 17th of February at 12.07 pm, and I received the part on Friday the 19th of February at 12 noon. The faulty parts in my door handle were replaced within the hour.The service from this provider is probably the best I have ever received, the parts were as described and fitted perfectly. If I could give more than 100%, then I would. Excellent, I would certainly use them again.
