Product Description Special deluxe two disc (CD + PAL/Region 0 DVD) pressing of the 2008 album from the British Rock boy band featuring an additional five bonus tracks and a bonus DVD with more features!. Originally, in a brilliant marketing move, the album had been given away to subscribers of a UK newspaper. Now, the album is even bigger and better with four new cuts! With one Top Five single and another headed up the charts, McFly are back with a vengeance (and they never even went away!). Features the hits 'One for the Radio' and 'Lies' (one of the four new tracks). Super. Review Who doesn't love McFly? They know who they are and they stick to what they do best - rocking pop with catchy choruses and perfect-for-air-guitar riffs. Radio: ACTIVE is no different - despite being the first album the boys have released independently. Yes, Harry, Tom, Dougie and Danny have released their fourth studio album on their own Super Records, after having given away an abridged version with The Mail On Sunday back in July. A grown-up move from a newly mature band whose music and lyrics have definitely stepped up a gear, but who manage to retain their dependable pop rock sound that is still just as infectious and smile-inducing as it ever was.Single, Lies, was a good choice for a first release - it's definitely McFly but there's a touch of Justin Timberlake in there which adds something slightly edgier and grimier and hints at what's to come on the rest of the record that singer/guitarist Tom refers to as their ''definitive album''. You certainly get the sense that they are exploring different paths and influences - the tracks jump from emo ballad, POV, to One For The Radio, which sounds like it could have come straight from High School Musical, to the Blink 182-esque, Going Through The Motions (lyrical highlight: ''because loving you feels like a kick in the balls'' - genius). There are even hints of The Darkness during the falsetto moments of Do Ya, which also manages to sound like it's come straight out of the 60s. You get the feeling that the quiffed quartet had a great time making this record - finally free from the shackles of a record label and able to write the songs that they have always wan! ted to.Even the titles suggest a triumphant breakout from the murky jail that is the commercial music industry - surely there's some subtext behind Only The Strong Survive, Down Goes Another One and The End. These boys have broken free and produced a record that is true to themselves and what they've always been about, but with a meatier, punchier sound. Oh, and they rock the socks off The Jonas Brothers - ha! --Lizzie EnneverFind more music at the BBC This link will take you off in a new window

Their Best Yet
I love this album, and I feel that the songs are more skillfully written and have a much better sound than in McFly's previous albums (no discredit to previous albums intended, as I have loved them all!). The sound of the album relates more to rock bands than in the other albums, with crunchier (?) guitar sounds and songs that you can blast loudly through the house and have a good dance around to (yes, I actually do that). The album contains a nice blend of upbeat, lively tunes and slower, more moving songs. It adds a fresh twist to McFly's old Surf-Pop style and, on the whole, is just a really great CD to add to your collection. The DVD included gives a nice insight into the making of the album; it gives a more personal touch that makes the album so much more than just another forced and rushed money-making album as I have seen from so many other artists. I think the split from their record label, Island Records, was a good move to make at the time, as it allowed McFly to create the songs exactly how they pleased, which is definitely a good thing, judging by the sound of this album. I am aware that the band has now re-joined their old label and I can only hope that their new album, Above the Noise (which I have ordered), is at least half as good as Radio:ACTIVE.

Second copy first one worn out.
I am a rock fan love my foo fighters, iron maiden, good charlotte, lost prophets etc but i have to admit that my most played album is this one.The McFly lads make great pop punk songs and this album is packed full of them. An uplifting romp with four lads who love playing and writing and make tunes that stick in your head and heart. It beats most of good charlottes recent albums hands down but the shame is that most blokes will never listen to it because they feel that McFly are a boy band. Shame this is what they have turned into lately but it doesn't detract from this album being a cracker. This is my second copy of this album because the first is so scratched from the thousands of plays its had.Excellent sing a longa album for doing the housework or long drives.love it.x KT2012

McFly's BEST album to date
For now until their new one comes out in November, this is defiantly McFly's best work. I find myself listening to this album in particular constantly over and over again. And the bonus DVD with this deluxe version helps it be worth the price. (Or original RRP that is of course) If you're a die hard McFly fan and you haven't listen to this, then get yourself a copy NOW!!!

the price was amazing and to my surprise the CD was a special ...
Outer case was a bit battered but the CD still plays well. Also, the price was amazing and to my surprise the CD was a special addition with three extra tracks and it came with a DVD of the RADIO:active tour. This is my favourite McFly album and I would have payed a lot more for it than£0.08- amazing.

Mcfly
Love this CD, one of Mcflys best. The music is not quite Mcflys bubblegum pop but neither their downhill r&b tracks they released a few years back, its somewhere nicley in the middle. My faveourite track on it is 'heres another song for the radio', its so catchy. This album didn't do as well as mcfly hoped, but it is one of their best.

Can't believe I found it!
I'm a big McFly fan from Brazil. I'd been searching for this album for a while and this is the only place where I could find it. The item arrived when expected and the package was fine. I still can't believe I found an edition with the CD and DVD for a very good price! I am totally in love with it!
