How strong are these compared to welding?

Depends on how heavy the product that you are exposing the connectors to/which to design? these connectors are an extremely tight fit when using 25x25x1.2mm Box Section (usually around 150-200kg load)

What are the dimensions....I want to build a square frame with the third connector acting as a leg to stand off some tiles

Are the connectors easy to remove, so anything you build can be dismantled.

They are not designed to assemble and dissemble many times (the plastic is a very tight fit. you will shav a layer of plastic off each time if you dissemble and reassemble so the connectors will become lose over time).
