Great protection, but need to replace it
I bought the case a year ago and I am finally replacing it. On the bottom of the case of the hard plastic case at first the thin strip above snapped off several months after buying it. And now a year later the hard plastic to the right of the charging port has broken off. Also at some point the top right just above the volume buttons has warped slightly and is no longer flush with the phone. This earns my 5 star because I have dropped my phone so many times and has been abused in so many ways and the fact that there is no damage to my phone is amazing. It has even been toddler proof

Highly durable.
My recent purchase of the OtterBox Galaxy Commuter Series Case has proven to be a game-changer in smartphone protection. From its sleek design to its robust construction, this case stands out as a beacon of durability and reliability. First and foremost, the design of the Commuter Series Case is both stylish and practical. The slim profile adds minimal bulk to my Galaxy, maintaining the sleek aesthetics while providing a comfortable grip. The precise cutouts for buttons, ports, and the camera ensure that functionality is not compromised โ a thoughtful touch that reflects OtterBox's attention to detail. Now, let's talk about the standout feature โ the great durability of this case. OtterBox has a reputation for producing some of the toughest smartphone cases on the market, and the Commuter Series lives up to that legacy. The dual-layer protection, combining a hard outer shell and a soft inner layer, creates a formidable shield against drops, impacts, and daily wear and tear. The case's durability has been put to the test, and it has emerged unscathed. It provides an extra layer of confidence, knowing that my Galaxy is well-protected in various scenarios. The raised edges around the screen and camera prevent direct contact with surfaces when laid flat, preventing scratches and damage to these vulnerable areas. One aspect that sets this case apart is its ease of use. Despite its robust construction, the buttons remain responsive, and the port covers are easy to access. Installing and removing the case is a straightforward process, making it convenient for those who like to switch cases or clean their devices regularly. The durability of the OtterBox Galaxy Commuter Series Case extends beyond mere protection; it ensures the longevity of the case itself. The materials used are resistant to scratches, scuffs, and discoloration, maintaining the case's sleek appearance even after extended use. In conclusion, the OtterBox Galaxy Commuter Series Case is a stellar investment for anyone looking to safeguard their smartphone without sacrificing style. The combination of sleek design and exceptional durability makes it a standout choice in the world of phone protection. If you're in search of a case that can confidently handle the rigors of daily life, look no further โ the Commuter Series Case delivers unparalleled durability and peace of mind. A five-star recommendation for its outstanding performance and quality.

Buy a better cover
Definitely does not protect phone screen 1st time dropping phone from my coat pocket, and the screen is cracked, then spider webbed.

Medium protection
Nice case. Little flimsy around the edges after 14 months

Overall great product.
I love this case. It replaced my old case that I bought with the phone in the first day it came out. Its tough and protects my phone from drops on both sides. It also and this part is important protects my charging port from dust getting in! I dont have a wireless charger and I've seen alot of people have port problems(including myself) so keeping that clean and dust free is important. The feel is love though when its new it is a lil slippery to be expected(not a downside) buttons a little tougher to press but its new so its tough be expected at first. Assembling it to your phone is a snap. Overall a great product.

Company has gone downhill
Last Otterbox for me. I rarely write reviews, but when a company goes this downhill I have to say something. This is now the 2nd Otterbox in a row that didn't last even 6 months before it started to deform and not hold the phone correctly anymore. They do have a warranty but I'm not paying $13 for shipping and handling for a warranty due to poor quality control. And this case only costs $20 new from their Amazon store if you do the one without the store box with it. I have been using OtterBox soley pretty much since they came out. But if you have to spend $26 a year on top of the cost of the product I think there are better options out there. Reached out to see if they would be willing to help a customer that has been with them since pretty much they started, and instead I ended up having to email back and forth multiple times due to them I guess not able to read for them to just tell me no in the end. I am very brand loyal and it takes a lot for me to lose faith in a long time brand but this was the last straw. Buyer beware.

Warming in under 6 months
Had the Case for less than 6 months and its already starting to warp. Up top by the volume keys has expanded and bubbled. The charging port cover was fantastic and held up really well. But its nearly impossible to take out without some type of nail. If will fit almost all chargers and wireless charging is compatible. I have Anchor wireless chargers if that helps.

what in the world....
I don't think there's anything much to say, the image speaks for itself. Rubber is already distorted and loose to the point you can fit a COIN in that gap that comes about when you use it on your phone QC seems to have been such a miss

Third phone now with an Otterbox Commuter. Will always have it as my main driver
I've used the Commuter on my S10+ but even more so for about 4 years on my S20+ so I'm used to it and already a devoted convert. Soon as I got my S23 Ultra I got this straight away. Always will. I've tried other cases. Will always have this around and be heavy in the rotation (OB Defender for the odd real rugged situations). It's very sturdy, hard outer shell with the softer impact cushioning rubber lining and softer outer edges to cushion drops. I don't mind a bit of extra bulk for a bit of extra protection at all. Port covers are slightly different than I'm used to but I still like that they're there and that it's using some recycled materials. S-Pen still comes out easily but got some good depth protection there to stop you from easily bumping it and it flying out (the guy I bought it off lost his S-Pen in 1 week). If the USB-C and vol/power buttons feels stiff at first don't worry it does get easier. The USB-C flap feels even sturdier than my S20+ one so that's good. I see people talking about discolouration, I've had nothing of that ever happen on my 3rd model Commuter now but then why would you buy pink or colours or patterns? Asking for trouble. Black is the go there and make sure it's the Commuter, it's the hard outer shell model (though again, with some softer parts on edges to cushion against drops). I don't use magnet car stuff/stands so can't speak to that doing damage but my S20+ case held up for 4 years flawlessly. It's still in perfect condition, the USB-C flap is just much looser than it used to be but still closes firmly flat just fine (and I plug it in a million times a day). I see no reason why this S23 one won't be the same. It's going strong. Works with charge pad obviously. As for protection level generally very good, I don't do major drops all the time outdoors, I don't carry it in my pocket, I'm a woman so I've got a bag or backpack all the time outside (with occasional child-related lawn and one flat pavement bingles). I knock it off my chair or side table (or little hands knock it off) not infrequently, it goes on carpet, wood or lino and it's good. I also really heave my backpack around roughly or drop it on the floor at height and I shouldn't but so far so good overall for years now. The lip could maybe be higher. That's what's giving you the screen protection by creating a height differential between that and the ground and screen but it's a balancing act between protection and usability. Having a huge lip will get in the way, especially as the edges of the S23 Ultra are still curved as per many Samsung flagships and you've got the Edge Panels to try and access too. That's really a Samsung issue. If it's a big deal, wait for the S24 Ultra to come down in price they've got flat edges everywhere so Otterbox may raise the lip. On the topic of edge protection, I had to get the S23 Ultra because I got a pink line on my screen on my S20+ from a drop earlier this year (sigh) BUT it was an unusual drop and not my normal drop scenario. I knocked it flying with some force from my bedside table onto a hard metal highly slanted fan base (that shouldn't have been there. Should've moved it sigh) and that's what got around that protective lip on side of the phone because it fell on something hard at different heights. Or, it could've just been one too many drops/the force. Screen didn't shatter or even scratch either and it had no protector on because I'd not long had my last TPU film peel off, so it's entirely possible it was just the sheer force of it baring down on the screen or was just its "natural time to go" after being banged around for 4 years. I could've just replaced the screen, phone was in perfect working order it was just that annoying thing pink pixel line but I wanted an excuse for an upgrade. If you want to protect from rocks or dropping it straight on a concrete curbs and stuff, why are you buying an open-faced case at all? Otterbox Strada or Defender for that situation.
