So far, day 2... post setup and test, great. It is a little lighter than my previous Epson Workforce, but I wouldn't describe it as flimsy. Well, with the exception of the paper loading tray side rail. That sticks and seems dangerously flexible. It was a joy to watch the ink bottles fill their reservoirs. It actually is a clean and drip-proof loading process... a little scary to invert that bottle of ink and stick it in the receptacle, but it worked! The important thing about the setup is to use their guided smartphone system and follow each step meticulously. I found it was smart to "measure twice cut once". It's tempting to decide you know where they're going and move ahead. Don't do it! Follow each step stupidly and mechanically. It told me the software was up to date immediately. Later, it decided it needed to download an update. Just be patient and follow its laborious thinking process. It gets there eventually. Overall the setup was easy. Print quality, as you would expect, is excellent. I also printed a photograph on plain paper. It was, as you would expect, a little on the muddy side. It objected to using plain paper for photograph, rightfully so. I inserted some glossy photo paper in the supply tray, and it did a good job. Again, the photograph was a 9 out of 10, but this is a home printer. Some reviewers dislike the display. I find it eminently usable. I chose the tile option, and the controls work intuitively, with drop-down menus at each step. Set up of my Android smartphone, my wife's iphone, and my laptop were all pretty straightforward. Again, there was a little confusion about whether my software was actually up to date or not, but it figured that out by itself. The apps work fine. Overall, it seems to be well-designed and high quality. It is quieter than I'm used to. I like the automatic document feeder, the paper supply tray being on the front rather than the back and, of course, the high capacity ink tanks. So far, I'd recommended it. Update: day 4. I spent an hour yesterday on the phone trying to install their computer app on my computer. It was very difficult to communicate with both of the technicians in customer service. They were distracted and didn't seem to be listening when I'd say something. The spoke good English. For example, the easy set up process from day two doesn't get you the latest software. You have to download a package which they don't tell you about. In trying to set up a password, the printer kept refusing. The technician and I kept ending up on a screen that was generated when Epson created one of those long 16 digit passwords. I didn't want to use that, I wanted to generate one I could remember. I explained that and she said tap okay and go to the next screen. When I did, the next screen asked me for my password. Of course, this was the password that was displayed on the previous screen that she told me not to copy. It turns out that when people do copy and paste they sometimes include an extra blank and that slows the whole process down. Instead, they want me to write down a 16 digit password with no errors and then copy it, again with no errors into the next screen. Their software programmer is a little dense. The software also asked me at least seven times for my email address. I got very tired of retyping it over and over again. You would think that, like most software on the internet these days, it would remember my password the first time I typed it and it would auto fill it. No such luck with Epson. The next day I wanted to scan a document to my computer. It kept giving me an error message on my computer that the scanner was busy, even though it had finished scanning. When I called tech support it took 20 minutes to figure out that you shouldn't scan from the display on the scanner/ printer; you should go to your computer and install their Epson scan software and scan using that. In order to get to this conclusion it took us numerous tries to try to get my computer to talk to the IP address on the scanner. It turns out that if you have any other programs open on your computer at the same time it can't do it. Executive summary: the printer/scanner seems to be a good product. The software is unfinished and buggy. It is 15 years behind the times in terms of usability. Good luck!

Coming from what I believe was the first model EcoTank printer back in 2016, this one is great. I would like to have bought a cheaper EcoTank printer but it seems you have to pay the price to get an actual ethernet port on a printer these days. In my experience the wifi card put in printers are awful, given that my printer is quite a distance from my router I didn't want to chance it. No connection issue, not printing issues, no issues at all.

Not an easy printer to set up. After what seemed like hours, I finally got it installed. I think instead of following instructions, I would have just let my laptop recognize it it would have quicker. Is not a professional office printer. That said, the good stuff. Both my laptop and PC recognize it easily. Finally, I don't have to mess with cartridges any more. Print quality is excellent. Printed a photo of a bird on premium paper and I was amazed at the photo quality print. When printing double sided, the ink does not bleed through like my old inkjet. No more changing printheads at the cost a new printer!

Mediocre printer, slow both to scan and to print, below average print quality compared to other inkjets we've owned... and absolutely HORRIBLE software / network connectivity. It also seems to be extremely prone to jamming, both in terms of printing and the automatic document feeder. Backstory: we have been using an HP all-in-one office printer, with which we made the mistake of buying into HP Instant Ink (giant scam -- they "own" the cartridges the send you, limit your usage, and disable the cartridges if you cancel the subscription service). The scanner and printer were both good quality, but the software and connectivity were terrible, requiring constant reboots of the device to complete even simple tasks. Flash forward: we figured it was time to upgrade, and bought into the idea of the Epson Ecotank, with much lower cost for ink. Yeah... that may be true, but everything about this piece of junk is actually WORSE than the HP experience. Run, don't walk, away from this pile of plastic crap.

I finally made the switch to an EcoTank, and I’ll never go back to cartridges. The ink usage is incredibly efficient; I’ve printed hundreds of pages and the tanks barely look like they’ve been used. It’s perfect for my home office where I do a lot of color printing. The initial setup was simple, and the print quality is crisp and professional. 5 stars for saving me a fortune on ink!

After decades in the HP family of printers I took a chance on this printer in hopes of saving on ink. We only use a printer for general household projects so not a heavy, bulk printing user but after a year of use the ink tanks have barely budged. I previously might go through an XL cartridge in that time span. As a precaution to avoid the heads drying up, I print a document using all the colors at least once or twice a month if nothing else has printed. If it lasts at least two years ( and Im sure it will) it will have paid for itself in less ink purchases.

I want to love this printer. I had an older model that I bought three years ago, and it started making lines on pages, no matter how much I would align it, so I thought I'd upgrade. This one drops prints ALL THE TIME. It will be halfway through a page, and it just decides it's done. If I'm printing lots of pages, I have to go back through and verify that it actually did all the copies because there's no error. It appears the print job finished correctly, but it didn't actually. When I first turn it on lately, I can't choose double sided because it just refuses. It will print single pages. (I thought it was me making a mistake, so I made sure I did everything right the next day, with the same outcome.) After it's printed a copy or two, it will do it, but not first thing. Why, I couldn't tell you. I blamed our Wifi for dropping the prints, but my husband said that shouldn't be the problem, especially when it stops partway through a page. The print job should be loaded onto the printer itself, and for that very reason, that sometimes networks go out. So now I don't know what to think. Everything is up to date in the firmware, so there should be no problems. Maybe I got a dud, since some reviewers seem to be pretty happy with theirs, but after not even three months of use, I'm ready to be done with it. I love that it uses so little ink, and it's a great printer, when it feels like working. Long time Epson user, but I think I'll be looking elsewhere shortly.

I really want to love this printer, and I ALMOST do! It prints great colors, so all of my favors come out amazing. The cons are that it is SLOW as molasses, which would be no problem IF I could set it to print overnight or while I'm away but I can't. If I print more than 5 pages at a time it jams, or it pulls multiple pages through at once. The user guide says if this happens to feed it one sheet at a time. Really??? If you're printing out multiple items this is ludicrous. For the price I'd expect more. Like it but also kind of disappointed. I say purchase with caution (and plenty of patience).
