Collection Unisex Adults Watch MQ-24

This was a genuine Casio. It is easy to read, very light and reliable and is extremenly good value for money. It is no suitbale for underwater swimming - but then who, apart from divers, what to tell the time underwater. The only deficiency, in my opinion is the lack of a low battery indicatior. When the battery is "end of life" the watch will simply just stop. Granted the battery may last for 3 years, but if you want reliablity, I would suggest that you will need to change the battery at least every 2 years.

I bought this before I went on a holiday out to France. I knew I'd be in the sea or pool or just generally messing aboout somewhere - I owned a decent watch so didn't want the hassle of taking it off and putting it back on (possibly losing it in the process). I saw this cheap casio one on amazon and figured it would be worth a punt. Well, the reviews were positive and it was only a fiver! The watch, which came predictably quickly, was smaller than I expected. But don't let that make you think it's a dinky little thing, suitable for only the most feeble of female wrists - no, it's also good on manly male wrists too. Well made, and here's the main bit! It says it's waterproof, and it is! I spent hours in the pool - the watch being submerged for literally 30 minutes at a time - and the watch continues to work perfectly. I'm used to having a date function but this doesn't have one - not surprisingly for a watch of this price. The face is easy simple, straightforward and easy to read, what more do you want? No misting, fogging or any other problems. I virtually never took it off and was rewarded for my efforts with a very impressive watch mark by the end of the holiday. I'm back to wearing my normal watch now I'm back home. However it's still going to get used when I go out biking or swimming or to the gym. I wouldn't say it's indestructable but at this price you don't mind if something happens to it. It'd be very good just to have as back up if your main watch decides to die on you. Overall - for a fiver, highly recommended.

This is a simple, clear to read very lightweight and comfortable to wear watch. It is of very good, no nonsense design and lacks the clutter of those extra gubbins we hardly ever use. Although it is smaller than many gent's watches, the simple face design makes reading the time easy even in fairly poor light. At the price paid from Amazon, the watch represents truly excellent value. Update: Although I stand by my original comments regarding the watch itself, I have reduced the stars to four from five because the strap has perished and broken at the point where it is pulled through the buckle. This was after quite a time but does indicate a weakness in the material used. In all other respects, the watch does represent excellent value and has proved economical on batteries too.

Firstly, this is a cheap watch, it is no Omega, but for functionality it is a real bargain. My wife wanted a durable watch for work, something that was easy to see and read, and the first thing she said to me is "I want a watch with 12 numbers on it and mites shown too" - well try and find one, as these two things seem to be out of fashion now, but like her I also think they are essential in a watch, having to 'guess' minutes is a nightmare, especially of someone asks you the time and you say well it is 12 minutes or maybe 13 minutes past one ! She says the strap is easy to fasten and very comfortable to wear, and of course black markings on a white background couldn't be better. It proved to be quite accurate too, gaining about 1 minute every 2 months or so. Yes, we both have expensive "smart watches" but you just wouldn't want to wear them to work for fear of scratching or loosing them. Now the downside, well there would be one for a watch at this price. This is the second one of these watches she has had, the previous one lasted 19 months, then the battery went flat, and for starters the case was difficult to open up and then getting the battery out actually broke the battery contacts, even though I took great care. So yes, buy this watch it is good value, but when the battery goes, (to get it replaced professionally could cost the price of a new watch anyway, we were quoted £5) just 'bin it' and buy a new one like I did ! It still gets 5 stars though as the last one cost £0.37 a MONTH over the 18 months it worked !

Firstly i`d like to thank amazon.co.uk for a pleasureable shopping experience.They have an excellent range of products and i usually always manage to find what im looking for. The ordering process is very straight forward with one-click ordering and amazon are very quick at despatching what you`ve ordered. Secondly i bought this watch because i wanted something a little different.Most of the watches i own are casio G-shock watches,which although i like are too bulky and they catch on the sleeve.The casio mq-24-7bll is a slim,smart looking and very lightwatch which is comfortable on the wrist.I payed around £6.00 for the watch from amazon but it looks more expensive than that. Also the time is easy to tell on this watch and setting the correct time is also easy to do.This watch is described as a unisex watch,suitable for both male and female and the size of the watch face is suitable for both.It is also keeping very good time so far,all in all i cant complain for a watch that only costs £6.00.The only small minus point is that it doesnt have night illumination but apart from that i`m very pleased with the watch.

Timeless when applied to a watch? Sorry, couldn't resist. I find great beauty in this watches simple lines. It is a watch. It gives an indication of the time of day. It has no frills. Function personified. Casio have created a perfect tool. I can't abide flashy watches, don't like cluttered watches, don't need a stopwatch, don't need an altimeter, tachymeter, moon phase display or any of the other errata grafted on. I need a watch that can stand getting a little damp, has a clear, easy to read face and is slim enough not to obstruct or catch on my bike leathers. This elegant little timepiece fulfils my requirements. I would like to agree with other reviewers comments that the strap is a little on the short side. I have quite slender wrists for a man and mine fits on the fifth 'hole' from the end of the strap. If you are chunky of wrist, it may not be for you. Given the price, I really don't mind too much if it gets bashed and broken at work. Try saying that about a more expensive watch. If it breaks, I'll just replace it. For less than the price of a couple of beers, I cannot find fault with it.

I've had a few of these watches and they are great. The problem is the strap... always breaks. But I'm a glutton for punishment and then buy another one.

I needed a watch for work, my work doesn't treat things like watches kindly so it had to be cheap and resilient as well as looking good. As for the first point, this is definitely cheap, for a fiver there's not much cheaper out there. I've had it close to a year now and it's pretty scratched up as any watch would be in the circumstances, the plastic face is holding up well though, it's still easy to read and doesn't look like it'll break any time soon. The other thing I like is the resin strap, I'm not a fan of metal and leather or fabric type straps get pretty horrible after a while in dirty environments, the resin however is comfy and easy to clean, perfect. Other reviews have mentioned it's small, I'd agree with that, I've got small wrists, usually on the tightest or next to hole on watches, this one I'm midway down, so I guess use some judgement before ordering if you've got big wrists! I like the compact size of the watch face itself though, it's unobtrusive and the simple black and white design looks great while being easy to read even in the dark. The features are simple but it does what it says on the tin, I don't want a date readout (which entails extra winding every month that doesn't have 31 days) or a tacky light or anything, it tells the time and it's stayed accurate for 10 months so far. Perfect for me, when it eventually breaks I'll definitely buy another one.

Si buscas algo sencillo, bonito y barato, esta es la opción. La esfera es pequeña, literalmente del tamaño de una moneda de $10 mxn y la correa es delgada, lo cuál lo hace un reloj muy ligero y sutil. Particularmente considero que la correa es muy básica y delgada, pero es ideal para el diseño y tamaño del reloj, además de ser muy comoda. Compra recomendable.
