Can these work with rechargeable batteries?

The vests work with rechargeable batteries but we found the guns do not. I suspect this is because rechargeable batteries only provide 1.2V. Now I have a lot of extra rechargeable batteries around :-/

Hi yes, my partner and brother in law have both worn them.

Do you really need to wait 20min and listen every 15 seconds to ‘waiting for activation’ to reset:restart the game and gun?

No. Just point your own gun at your own vest and press and hold the team select button. This take you back to the team selection bit. Everyone can do it and practically start the game again. :)
