A versatile comfortable compact seating option
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Size and sturdy design and component quality with easy adjustability for height and ergonomics. The padded seat is of good resiliency and supportive. The quality is more obvious during the assembly as everything went together and all pieces fit perfectly. No wobbling or creaking. No missing parts. No damage. Well packaged. The directions are clear and concise. They just need to be followed exactly and tighten all bolts last. About 3/4 hour.

Great product but assembly could be improved
When assembled, this is a great product, sturdy, well-made, and comfortable. Does the job as advertized. I'd give it 5 stars except for a couple of small problems with the assembly that I believe could easily be fixed: (a) the first step of attaching the legs took several tries because there was no way to keep the bolt onto the Allen wrench, so it kept falling off and into the bowels of the leg from which it was difficult to retrieve - a magnetized Allen wrench might solve the problem; (b) adding the crossbar was made more difficult because the legs and supports had already been tightened down and I had to hammer the crossbar into place, scraping off some of the paint - it would be helpful for the instructions to suggest not tightening down the bolts in the first 2 steps until the crossbar was in place. But those were minor problems. Overall, the assembly was straightforward and the result was great. I wanted to use the stool in place of my piano bench (grand piano) because of the back support. But the stool is a bit too small for that. However, it is excellent for smaller instruments such as guitars and keyboards.

A very study bench and solidly constructed
This is the second bench I have ordered. I have one for my harp and one for my keyboard. It is very sturdy and I like the back rest that helps support by body as I play. It was easy to put together although it was not clear which direction the legs were to go. The longer side needs to be pointing to the back. I had it wrong to begin with and the bench start to tip backwards when I got up. Once I changed the legs around, it is working perfectly. And I love that I can change the height, higher for keyboard, lower for harp. I would recommend this product.

Must-Have Back Support as part of a Comfortable, Fully Adjustable Piano Bench
Sure, you think you will never need the back support. Or worry it only adds cost snd little use. But the back support can be swiftly removed and you have a standard, fully adjustable piano bench. And for long practice sessions the back is crucial getting in hours of more work. It stays out of the way, doesn't interfere with arms or body movement. Like all Liquid Standa products it is superbly made and comfortable.

Fantastic Sturdy and Comfortable Piano Bench!
This bench arrived today. I am resuming piano lessons after a VERY long hiatus, partially to provide mental and physical stimulus as I move from partial into full retirement. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and several herniated discs in my lower back so sitting for long periods of time could be problematic. The bench I already had was uncomfortable, even with a cushion, and a bit too high for me. I put this bench together with ease in under 30 minutes. Could have done it in 15 but I had to search around for my comfortable Allen Wrench set rather than the little one provided. The provided one is just fine but I prefer one with a bigger handle. So, once I assembled it, I sat on it and got a better sense of how high I wanted the legs to be, how far back and at what point on my back I wanted to position the back rest. Got that all done quickly and now I can forsee being able to play longer with infinitely more comfort than the old wooden bench. I am no featherweight and I feel secure on this sturdy bench and I know that I can quickly and easily adjust it to enhance my comfort when or if I ever need to do that. I think this is a very reasonable price point for this quality of chair. I am very pleased with this chair.

Well-manufactured, easy to install
I only received it today, and time will tell how much I like it comfort-wise. However, it's certainly well-manufactured. All of the pieces aligned properly and there were no flaws on any of the materials. Not only did it have exactly the right number of screws, but they also included lock washers, which isn't something you normally get with self-assembled furniture (it was very much appreciated). The instructions are decent, though there are a few minor quirks to be aware of. An allen wrench is included (an H4.0 or 5/32 if, like me, you'd rather use your own screwdriver & bit instead). The first two instructions are straightforward; it took me a few seconds to realize that steps 3 and 4 weren't needed because my unit came with that part of the assembly already completed. The remaining steps were fine. The only challenge is that everything (including the holes) is black, and so the small pictures don't help a lot. Fortunately, putting this together is not rocket science, and the only extra advice I'd give is to make sure (as usual) that you screw things in lightly at first, and only tighten everything down once it's all together. (I would avoid using a power screwdriver for all of the usual reasons when putting together furniture; you definitely don't want to cross-thread the screws, although as I say the alignment and quality of the hardware is really, really good.) The only really odd thing is that the seat bottom bracket's holes are slots, unlike any of the other holes in the other brackets, which are all circular. This means that you have to pay extra attention to make sure the seat bottom is centered and square before you tighten everything down. I love the fact that there are three ways to adjust this bench -- seat height, back height, and back depth. It looks great and is exactly what I was looking for (which is good because there seem to be no competitors for this sort of adjustable bench which have seat backs at this point).

exactly what I was looking for
I needed a bench to practice guitar. My usual desk chair has arm rests so that doesn't work. I also chose this bench because it has a backrest which was essential to me for long hours of practice. It was either this one or the Gator guitar seat. I bought this one because the height is adjustable. The backrest is also adjustable not only in height but in depth as well. It comes in a good box and well packaged but nothing is assembled so every part has to be assembled by hand (no tools required as they are included.) Assembly went well. The instructions are quite clear with pictures of the steps and all the different parts. One thing of note: Make sure you assemble the legs the way they should be, so the lower part has the longest extension going towards the back of the seat for stability. It's easy to get that part of the assembly mixed up as I'm seeing in the reviews. Also, the middle cross bar is not hard to put on but it takes a little more force to get it in once the leg assembly is bolted to the seat as per the instructions. Put it diagonal and one part will go in. Push and slide the other part in. It goes on rather tightly but it goes on. Steps 1 and 2 are the longest to do and then it's smooth sailing. Once assembled it looks great and is solid as a rock. The feet are designed to prevent wobble on uneven surfaces by just turning them (really cool feature). The backrest seemed a little bit flimsy when I looked at the pictures online but it isn't. Once attached to the seat, it's just as solid as the seat itself. The padding of the seat is quite generous but on the firm side which I like. It is sold as a keyboard bench but honestly, it's a super practical seat that can serve many purposes in a pinch. Did I mention it was rock solid and not too heavy? It costs more than a lot of other guitar/piano seats out there but once I assembled it, I understood why.

Calidad y resistencia
