Pyrex PIREX Graduated Measure Liters 1 with Lid

The Pyrex Graduated Measuring Jug (1 L) with Lid has replaced my plastic bowls for reheating. The difference is night and day: glass doesn’t hold onto food smells, so yesterday’s curry doesn’t haunt today’s porridge. It’s nicely weighty and feels durable, and the rotating lid lets you cover or partially cover food depending on what you’re heating. Measuring marks are clear, and the jug shape makes it easy to pour soups or sauces without dribbling. Small note of realism: it’s still glass, so treat it with normal care (no heroic drops) — but the heft inspires confidence. Bottom line: A simple switch that makes microwaving nicer. I reach for it every time now, and food comes out as it should — hot, even, and without that lingering plastic smell. Who it’s for: anyone tired of plastic odours, batch cookers, and folks who reheat liquids/sauces often. Who it’s not for: people who need ultra-light containers or are rough with glassware. Care tip: avoid sudden temperature shocks (e.g., freezer to microwave); let it acclimatise and you’re golden.

Costs a little more to have the lid as well as the jug, but very handy not having to keep using cling-film when microwaving. Good quality too.

Proper PYREX, quality as it should be, not pyrex as it's often sold now. Didn't realise there were two types on sale. This is a good good with a handy lid that can be turned to pour liquid when needed.

Very good. Is what you expect. Shame that pyrex keep printing the measures on the side rather than engraving so i could put it in the dishwasher. Pyrex, I would pay extra for engraved measures!

I finally managed to have an accident and break my mother‘s 45 year-old Pyrex glass jug and bought this to replace it. . Pyrex if it is real Pyrex - some jugs are not so always check, is always reliable and this one has a very useful lid for the jug.

Just what we needed

Wife has a habit of buying cheap rubbish. Previous has a jug where you could read the gauge. Not the case with this Pyrex jug. The measurements are clear and I know that it’ll be years before they fade. The jug is solid and can be used in multiple appliances. Oven, dishwasher, microwave, etc. Plastic lid is a bonus meaning you can store another item on top even when it has contents in it.

This is a cracking measuring jug. It's large enough that you can easily get a small whisk into it (I've whipped cream in it). It has two pouring spout options, clear measures on both sides, excellent handle fat enough away from the main body of the jug that if you have something hot in it you don't burn fingers, solid, safe... love it. Would highly recommend. Just as a warning however, you can't measure less than 200ml in it. Smaller quantities will need a smaller jug.

Un misuratore utile per la preparazione di tantissime cose in cucina! Esistono anche di capienze minori ma credo questo sia il giusto compromesso. Di vetro solido e con un coperchio in plastica utile per tenere momentaneamente liquidi al caldo o per riporli comodamente in frigorifero. Non presenta difetti ed è fatto molto bene. Pyrex non si smentisce mai
